I can confirm that. I have a XA2 with SF 5 EA.
On another note, xperia 10 iii feels smoother/faster, fingerprint sensor is much more reliable and battery life is better ! Amazing work
Thanks for the update. Updating my XA2 went smoothly and for the first time since a long time it booted up fine the first time around.
Yes, upgrade on Tampella / Sony Xperia 10 II WF 0.6.0 beta 33 → 34 went just fine and everything works great. Thank you WF team!
After this update my phone has got serious problem with sending sms.
Is it possible that everything is displayed in dark mode? I can’t find anything in the settings.
quick question. has python3 been upgraded? (i cannot do OTA upgrades, so i await an image)
on 4.6, its 3.8.18
, what is the version of python3 on 5.0.0.55? python3.8 is 6 months dead, is missing important security updates, and several things i use every day have dropped support for it.
Same ! Python 3.8.18
thx!
well that’s not great
@teracube : Wireguard is working for me now via IPv6, but I had to edit my config file. As exported from the Fritz Box, it had multiple comma separated entries for IP4 and IP6 and multiple DNS entries. I had to remove one each.
It was the same with me. I removed Personal Ringtones from the app grid and now I can use the phone normally. The personal ringtones are great feature and I hope that they will be available.
I’m sad to hear that.
No personal ringtones on SF 5 is a complete NoGo !
Since @coderus stopped developing for Sailfish, I see no scratch for that itch.
In the past this feature was dicussed quite often in the (old and new) forum and even here to no avail:

I can’t claim enough, this feature is crucial.
I’m honestly very sorry.
A workaround that was developed to fix a traditional shortcoming is rendered useless by the update instead of implementing the functionality in the OS. Not only is this no longer fun, it’s just a bit too much.
And no mending of personal ringtones in sight.
That’s where Sailfish OS ends for me after more than 10 years and ten devices.
I will not upgrade my 10 III to 5.xx …and have to start looking into something else.
…so sad.
I wish you all the best.
cheers
@spienima
And I wanted to drink ‘Feuerzangenbowle’ with you at the next meetup in Berlin.
But at least it was fun talking last time. Have a Glenfarclas on me.
Really? If that is your only preference for using FSOS, then goodbye and good luck with any other OS.
The feature to have two different mellodies for the two sim.cards is also not working on both of my devices. I thought it was caused by personal ringtones but since I have remived it again only the sim1 ringtone is working for both sim cards… I am very dissapointed if not having any opportunity to use ringtones more effitiently…
No no, it’s just the cherry on top.
Most of us take some sacrifices in one way or the other to use this nice OS.
And I did as well for a decade. You are a regular here…so not having to argue with you by listing glitches you already know for sure.
Still, you don’t have to agree or even have understanding. (posts of others in the past in the same manner like mine made me react like you some times)
…not having this anymore is just the cherry on top.
I have an Xperia 10 III, on which I have installed Google Play services using Ikraavi’s script Google play services on xperia 10 III Sailfish 4.4.0.64 - #76 by lkraav. After the 5.0.0.62 update, android appsupport always crashed immediately after startup and tried to restart again and again. The journalctl -xe log showed, among other things, “appsupport-init[29907]: cmd: Can’t find service: settings” error message as Zer0C001 has reported earlier [Release notes] Sauna 4.6.0.11 - #264 by Zer0C001. The problem was fixed by running Ikraavi’s updated script Sony 10 III - Dual SIM (arm64) | Sailfish OS 5.0 | Android 11 | Open GApps pico installation script · GitHub
PS lkraav
not lkraavi
.
But yes, appsupport systemd service name changed in 5.0, so script update was necessary!
Whoever added quick alpha-scrolling to the media player will forever be in my appreciation.
Not having to scroll for near 30 seconds just to get to the ‘M’ artists in my near 1TB of music is such a quality of life improvement.
Thank you thank you thank you!
Now, If we could just get gapless playback in the media player, i would probably be one of the happiest sailfish users on earth
FlowPlayer (available at OpenRepos and the SailfishOS:Chum community repository) is supposed to provide working gap-less audio playback.
And ReplayGain support for one of the native players as well.
