Thank you for update 5.2.0.22. Black is Black now.
Ps.
I can now charge my Jolla Phone only to around 48–50%.
Thus, my JP2 is showing an increasing number of symptoms related to several existing bugs affecting the battery, charging and USB-C.
My JP2 is practically useless as a daily phone. It remains switched off 99% of the time.
Luckily, I have my Sony Xperia 10 VII.
You should think about a factory reset. I’m not sure what bugs you mean. I use one of my J)2026 as a daily driver from the first day. The second one running rock stable as well and is here for reserve.
The update does not download. It shows store errors.
After the update the volume control stopped working (the physical volume buttons not working). No more volume bar. I can only control volume by dragging down the system menu…
EDIT: JP2026
Now jolla servers are working again, updated without problems, all my patches are working ![]()
Quick test with my two power bricks.
My non-PD 5V2A HMD brick works as before, charging at around 2000 mA. This power brick has worked with every version yet on my JP26.
My 25W PD Samsung brick had a very patch track record, after working with the initial version but not starting to charge with previous versions .18 and .20, I think. With .22 it works again, starting charging immediately albeit at slightly lower rates than the other one, at around 1600 mA. This is definitely an improvement.
If often helps to try latter.
Which phone? If it’s the Jolla Phone 2026, then I have no volume button problems, so try rebooting?
Everything worked on the upgrade. Please don’t forget about the Xperia line… it would be nice to have at minimum a working camera + headphone jack.
The only problem I had was with the root space needed for the update on mu xperia 10 III. I had to remove a lot of stuff to make it possible, even AAS. Is there a way to enlarge root space couple of GBs just to make the process easier? Anyway the browser has really improved: speed and sailing’s comfort.
All cameras and the headphone jack are fully working on 5.2 with the community port! So glad it’s finally been released!
I rebooted…deactivated all the patches…restarted home using the utilities menu…volume control still gone!
Which patches did you have installed? Normally, Patchmanager should disable them during a system upgrade, but maybe something’s misbehaving.
It could also be that some component just didn’t update correctly. Have you tried executing the following commands in the terminal? You’ll need to run them as root (enter devel-su first).
ssu re 5.2.0.22
version --dup
If your system updated correctly, this shouldn’t update anything (other than maybe some packages from the Store, Storeman or Chum, that happened to receive an update in the meantime).
I’m afraid, the camera still producers washed out & very blury pictures…close to unusable.
Else, all is good with the update.
Edit:
Now I found the hi res toggle (not in settings / camera, but in the camera ui at the bottom) … yeah…looks promising. I’ll test in daylight.
Airplane mode does no longer affect Bluetooth when a device is connected. Is it just me or?
A reasonable new behavior I’d say.
I managed to make it work… it was not a matter of upgrade… event worst. it is an hardware issue: i need to press incredibly hard to control the volume up or down… i’m really puzzled. the phone didn’t get wet or anything similar… just all of the sudden the hardware doesn’t work… how comes…
the upgrade was an accident. Nothing to do with this hardware issue i suppose.
Successfully upgraded the community edition on my PinePhone Pro, no problems encountered.
Did you try to test them with CSD? Five taps on version in Settings.
Successful upgrade on my Xperia 10 III, not a single package was removed even though it was a major release.
The web compatibility with ESR 115 is really nice to have, bahn.de maptool-dipul.dfs.de and relay.firefox.com work in the stock browser again ![]()
