Recommended way to install cacert.org root certificate for use in browsing/caldav/mail/etc

I’m looking to install the cacert.org root certificate, because I have SSL certificates relying on this root cert to be trusted. (sites for browser, mail, caldav, …)
In the settings i’ve seen “certificates”, but this only lists, there is no way to add a root certificate to trust?
I’ve searched here, but i find only about installing it for android apps.
I’ve got a clean C2, where should i install this root certificate? I have a .crt file, should i put this in a dir someplace and/or do execute some command?

The best way would be to make this installable, i.e. an “app”.

yes, but it would need to be a jolla app, for installing certificates for security purposes

You can use the applicable steps from this README:

https://gitlab.com/nephros/harbour-privoxy/-/blob/master/docs/Userguide_HTTPS.md

It’s for a slightly different purpose but it does deal with installing custom root CA certs.

yeah, i don’t feel like it would be a bad thing (or even a lot of work) to add this on the settings where you list the trusted certificates to have an add functionality
