Dear collegues, users, sailors:
Our SailfishOS community is a small family. The amount of devices capable of running SailfishOS is rather small. My idea is to open a small poll to find out which SailfishOS Ports are most popular and how many ported devices are in the wild. My goal is that the acceptance of ported devices in the community increases and of course i want, that @Jolla (together) with the community will find a possibility to offer AAS for the ported devices. It will increase the user base and give Jolla some money…
Please note, this list might not be complete - if you use a Port which is not listed - choose other please
so i begin here:
Which SailfishOS Ports do you use (multiple answers possible)

Update: Sorry guys, many popular models were missing, so i needed to change it again
I feel this poll would be more useful if the official versions were included. That way you could get a comparison of how many people use community ports vs. official versions. Provided everybody participates of course.
I disagree. the amount of official Jolla devices would be much, much bigger. My goal was to count only the ported devices to get a feeling how many ported devices are in use and which are most popular.
Official Jolla devices have the best support but often not so good hardware
Ported devices have much better hardware, but are maintained often by 1 single person.
If it would be possible, that the ported devices would get better support (including AAS which is for many user the most important argument) - the community would get more devices, the user would get more choice and Jolla would get some money for licences…
Yeah nah, everyone is freaking using not-so-good official ports, this entire post is about unofficial ports appreciation
Also it would be fun if Jolla guys pulled store statistics of acounts per device for all sfos devices and maybe make it public and maybe make nice website for it
@explit
I bought it specifically for the SailfishOS port, so I have no experience with the Stock ROM or other ROMs. It’s now my spare smartphone for me and my family while I daily drive the Jolla C2.
I’ve wanted to react that my OnePlus 7T Pro port is missing in the list but then I realised that it’s bullshit because I still haven’t made it public.
I apology for my mistake, @Mister_Magister
I couldn’t ever imagine there are so much G2 users in the wild… But it makes sense: If you didn’t heard about SailfishOS - you buy a cheap phone first to test it and get a feeling…
I voted for the (original) Volla phone, because I had one in use for abt. a year, until it unfortunately broke. Currently I’m using Xperia 10 and everything’s running fine.
This was very interesting poll as my struggle to jump on the ship has been the low HW of C2. If I would be able to daily drive it completely (finger print scanner, better GPS chip, better camera) I could have sold my current phone to finance the SailfishOS phone. Definitely need the android app support for banking etc. As I haven’t used any I didn’t vote but would be most interested of better HW ports
Yeah the missing AAS makes the ported devices not attractive for many. You have literally the choice between
Bad HW with AAS
Superior HW without AAS
And this problem persist since 10 years or so. Jolla should really offer a licence for commercial SF parts like AAS and on the same place offer the possibility to the Ports developer to integrate the AAS in their Ports.
