This is very opinionated. 
I am quite happy to have C++ here. Many more features, with backwards compatibility as a must. C++23 is a modern language and should not be treated as C++98. And there many many more developers who know C++.
Everybody should use the language he/she likes.

please add support for My Backup, to include settings and bookmarks into automated jolla backup
add to .desktop file:
[X-HarbourBackup]
BackupPathList=.config/app.organicmaps/
everyone can add this into organicmaps.desktop manually (but will be overwritten after each app release)

Yes, to some extent at least. I am experimenting a bit with real-time traffic and live data for departures which is working pretty well now. I am not sure how to turn this into something releasable though. Just for the Swedish traffic that I am supporting now I have three different API keys to make it work.

For Austria, it seems to work quite well, except that a planned replacement bus was not returned…

I know this is probably something that is more for Organic Maps itself and not for this port, but I’m putting it out here first anyway, to hear your opinions:
With my old eyes and needing reading glasses it would be really nice if the size of the navigation elements would be adjustable. So I’m talking about the lanes and information at the top while using navigation.
(And thanks for the hard work! The port works really well.)

If one wants automatic updates - Harpoon works quite nice for this. It is an Obtainium style package manager, that connects and checks repo releases. You can find the link in this forum.

Did you enable the option to increase text size on map in the setting?
Yes, that just increased the text size of the labels on the map and made no discernable difference for the navigation elements.

Very cool, any chance to add support for Denmark and perhaps Greece?
