The car arrow offset from bottom was doubled, but now it stays on the same height as on Android.
thank you, deleting from My Places works fine now ![]()
Thanks for the app! It looks very promising. I was wondering if it could also use data from the OSM Scout Server?
At first, I wanted to do that, but then I thought, “Hey, everyone will know what I mean. ![]()
Looks very good now! Very ripe and tastefully designed.
Yeah, it is taking shape.
My plan is to make a build during the afternoon and test it during the weekend and submit a PR early next week.
If you use it during today let me know if you find something strange and I might be able to fix it until I make the build.
Voice navigation while listening music should be fixed at minimum to pause/resume until we found best way how to nicely mix it with music without pausing
quick fix like this:
I’ll see what I can do about it. Thanks for the link.
Here is the latest build: Release Organic Maps for Sailfish OS 2026.10.09-4 · klahr/organicmaps-sailfish · GitHub
I have tried these maps client one more time.i can say that these maps for sure shall to be included into Jolla store or storeman. Maybe with ai tag or something to calm down those users who hates ai stuff,etc.. Community of these maps shall grow to create bigger support of it. Great job.i appreciate that!
You are right! I was a version behind.
It works as it should.
Great, thanks for letting me know. ![]()
I added the same fix in the last release, but was unable to test it properly. I will do it during the weekend, but if you also have the chance to test it, please let me know how it goes. ![]()
Apparently that solution pauses the music instead of lower it which is kinda…not nice. But when it works I’ll mention in to @Jolla and we’ll see if they might change the behavior for how music behaves when navigation sounds are being played.
There are aspects that don’t show Silica off properly. I thought the texture was missing, but it’s a bug. When I click to select the map style, Silica’s texture appears on the map.
yes it works as expected
it does resume playback
woraround for listening streaming icecast radio is to enable repeat in playlist so it will start playing again after disconnect because of icecast queue-size (not tested, but i hope so)
@jolla @rainemak should improve ‘navigator’ class or create some new one for this purpose just to silence music without pausing like they mix SMS tone
thank you!
Hm, I just tested with Spotify (Android) now it pauses the music but it does not resume. I also tested with a native sailfish app and it worked.
The map-style selection modal is rendered incorrectly. It should normally be transparent and adapt to the current SailfishOS ambience background. OSM Scout provides an example of the expected behaviour when the hamburger menu is pressed.
It alreade uses the ambience color, and the transparency is fixed (see screenshot further up). Regarding hamburger menu and expected behaviors, where does that information come from? I have not seen any Silica docs related to that. Please give me a link.
i don’t use android support so i dont know which class is assigned to android apps or if there is any difference between some android player or game…
but for sure faster than jolla will sort this problem will be better to do it by own way.
just my idea is list input sinks, adjust their volume and then restore after finishing voice command. (not sure if all input sinks, or just mediaplayers, depends how android act there)
how is listed android sound?
pactl list sink-inputs | grep -i -E '(Sink:|binary|application.name)'
Sink: 1
application.name = "Media"
application.process.binary = "jolla-mediaplayer"
pactl set-sink-volume 1 30%
.... play voice command....
pactl set-sink-volume 1 100%
just tested if this would be safe like what happened if sink disappear before volume is restored back to 100% and it looks like pulse accept it even sink does not exist and next start of mediaplayer is at 100%
and for sure voice command has to be played via different way as the actual stops media player (in qml/qt playing sound via qt does not pause)
