Since I am from a country outside the EU, I asked them quite a lot of questions because, as you mentioned, I wanted to understand what kind of responsibility they could take. After all, I am paying a significant amount of money for this product, and receiving a service where my questions are not answered would honestly make me look at that brand negatively in the future.
When they said “we take care of you,” this is what they meant. I want to explain this again so that others can also feel more at ease. I told them that I would arrange transportation with a shipping vehicle to bring the order from outside the EU to my country. As you know, life happens — I asked what would happen if something happened to the shipment or if I was unable to receive it.
They told me that if the product is not opened, or in short, even if I cannot take delivery of it, the product would eventually be returned to them and they would take care of it. So they said there was no need to worry about this.
The only issue is, as you mentioned, the communication response time can become longer. But what I have seen is that sooner or later they do respond and solve the problem.
I hope I do not experience any problems after buying the Jolla Phone. If I do and they provide a helpful response, that would be great. If they don’t, then there is nothing I can do — I will have wasted 700 euros, and someone else will end up owning it through an auction…
You wasted a lot of time on obvious questions. You got pretty much exactly the answers i and anyone else could see you would.
No they did not say that it would make it back (if it is with the forwarding company, that’s between you and them - and most likely at a cost). They said that if it makes it back, a refund could be made.
This is still very much true.
This can still be true as well.
Part of not being treated differently is also not having extra privileges either.
Some companies are dicks and will not even handle problems that doesn’t differ from supported markets - not Jolla.
But you seem to have got it in your head that the will take responsibility for your forwarding company - and that’s not happening. Your forwarding company is not part of “shipping” - when they take delivery, the device is delivered from Jollas point of view and responsibility.
On top of that there was an offer of refund if it was to make its way back after that somehow.
Their shipping company - not your forwarding company.
I did not say that. I said when their shipping company hands over to your forwarding company.
This is definitely true. Then out of good will they will accept a clean return after that; but that isn’t exactly “responsibility”.
You are not making the shipping/forwarding distinction when you write - maybe the translator is eating it.
But it is a very important distinction and it makes it sound like you expect Jolla to take responsibility for your forwarding company.
If that damage is by your forwarding company (as opposed to their shipping company) they will most definitely not hassle with claims against your forwarding company.
It is also somewhat unlikely that they would hassle with the return shipping company, which may or may not have any relation whatsoever to the original shipping company. And even if your forwarding company uses the same shipping company, chances are it would be seen as just a new shipment of no relation to the original one (and the forwarding company being the “owner” of that shipment).
You are moving me out of a closed topic just because I got angry at a hidden troll, and my messages are being deleted. It’s fine, keep going like this =) You are so naive that you can’t even notice the messages where someone subtly insults others while pretending to be polite, but when someone writes an angry message, you delete it without even thinking about why that person wrote it. Let me tell you: unless you fix the triangles and the behavior of the suck-ups and the people who try to act hostile toward newcomers, you will lose a lot of people from your community. You will keep losing people as long as you continue being jealous and hateful.
Don’t do this, that’s my only wish. Today you do it to me, tomorrow you’ll do it to someone else. This will keep going, and in the end you’ll sit down and wonder why you drove people away — because you spoiled the suck-ups.
But thank you, today I definitely saw the true faces of certain people in the community at a certain level. I’m not a child. The fact that I respond angrily also does not mean that I am wrong. But anyway, keep reading this and continue saying, “What are you trying to say?” Life will hit you so hard one day that you won’t be able to say “I don’t understand” anymore =)
I would like to remind everyone here that it is possible to block people, which hides their posts. Disengage from conversations you don’t want to participate
Thank you for your post, but I will not block him. On the contrary, I will never let go of my anger toward someone here who took away my enthusiasm and tried to present himself as polite while subtly throwing insults at me.
I also thank you separately. Attah simply cannot be like you; that is the reality in this group. Actually, it is not difficult at all: instead of being negative toward people, even if you do not like someone, you can still treat them normally. But Attah thinks that making negative and sarcastic remarks will just end here. No, it will not end like this. In life, I have always put obstacles in front of people who behave this way, and I will continue to do so.
That sounds like an exhausting & stressful way to live, especially when there are a nearly infinite number of jerks on the internet, who will quite happily troll people because they like to get a reaction (even a negative or angry one). Personally I like to spend my time doing productive worthwhile things, rather than wasting it. I learnt the hard way that fighting trolls is a never-ending effort, and unless you have admin/moderator powers it is a pointless & impossible task.
If the internet forum/chat/board/whatever I use has an option to report/handle problematic posts in some way, then I use that option & move on (whether that be thumbs down, reporting, blocking the user, or whatever). If the forum/etc has NO such option, then I mostly ignore trolls, but if they are too hard to ignore then clearly the forum/etc isn’t worth wasting my time & energy on, so I abandon the forum/etc (leaving it to die slowly unless they do something).
