No audio on Xperia 10 ii

Hey. I’ve just installed Sailfish on a used Xperia 10 ii dual SIM, using the free version of the OS (4.6) for now. Everything seems to work fine other than audio, with no input or output and the volume slider in audio settings set to zero and greyed out. After some looking around I suspect I’m having the same issues as in this thread, so I just wanted to check if there’s been any progress on a fix, or if there’s anything I can try. Or am I just out of luck with this phone? Would paying for a license and getting the updated version of the OS do anything? Let me know if there’s any logs I could provide that might be helpful in figuring this out.

Any input is much appreciated.

So why don’t you post there instead of creating duplication and fragmentation?

Because it’s such an old topic, the OP there seems to have given up and moved on, and I’m not 100% sure it’s the same problem. Still, fair enough.

I have a feeling there may be even more threads; perhaps even more “canonical” ones.

I’ve tried to search, but it’s possible I’ve missed some. Either way, it seems to be a pulseaudio issue as far as I can tell.
