DESCRIPTION:
Sometimes phone calls have no audio in either direction. When this is happening, it happens for every subsequent call until the device is rebooted. All other audio functions work as expected.
PRECONDITIONS:
Phone call.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
- Make or receive a phone call. If it works, turn off the phone, turn it on and try again.
EXPECTED RESULT:
To be able to hear the other person and for them to hear me.
ACTUAL RESULT:
No audio in either direction, no slight hum or hiss from the speaker, nothing.
MODIFICATIONS:
None.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This has been happening since 2020. I understand it’s considered an old phone at this stage, but it seems pretty poor form that this issue has persisted over multiple major software updates since the XA2 was first supported. Is it a case of being unable to fix it, or unwilling and hoping that users will eventually drop the XA2 and the problem will be “solved” that way?
