The phone can still be bought in shops and is dirt cheap! So why not…
‘Dirt cheap’ are not the words to describe it. You can buy a new replacement IPS display for one of these ‘canoe paddles’ for £15 and people can’t give G75’s with damaged screens away on ebay at any price. As for me just the thought of wrestling one of these ‘monsters’ out of my inside pocket is too much to bear but the price point alone might just be enough to bring some new sailors in.
oh trust me I hate the idea of frying pans as much as the next guy, and originally I wanted to wait till something more intersting will pop up, but it will take at least year to see what will pop up in 2026 with no guarantee that anything small will. It can take years for something really interesting to pop up
- small phones, for some unknown reason (corporate greed) don’t have 3.5mm (even though 3.2" phones had them with no issues)
Some people want to wait and see what will become of jolla phone 2. If jolla manages to make good phone, there might finally not be a need for verdanditeam phone, and to be honest I’m curious too. I have no hope for jolla, and I fully expect the jolla phone 2 to be absolute waste of money but in case it’s not, i wouldn’t have to buy another phone
So I guess, let’s postpone it till jolla phone 2 release, that should also allow us to see what comes out in 2026

If I was thinking along the same lines and wanted to buy a large phone with volte I would probably choose the CMF 1. Has all the attributes of the G75, along with the micro SD memory expansion. No 3.5 mm audio either I accept, but it is 2mm shorter in height than the G75. One redeeming factor about the CMF 1 is that you can unscrew the back cover for battery replacement.
Is also available in exactly the same shade of ‘inyaface orange’ as the new Jolla phone, so some similarities there.

You are absolutely right. Just something to keep in mind. Quite a few people seem to be hoping for a keyboard TOH for the new (also theoretical) Jolla phone and bunch of people on Clicks side also seem to be hoping for a privacy focused OS option for the Communicator when/if it actually exists.
True, but you can have already their new product attached to a TOH with MagSafe.
Actually I already saw someone saying here that he is looking forward to use that keyboard in J2 here in the forum (even if it sounds so weird).
