I’m really happy about the physical size of my experia 10 iii, the size suits me better than my iPhone 16 Pro.
The problems with Sailfish seem to be all software /firmware related.
Hopefully having new firmware will fix some of the problems
I have changed back to my iOS phone and will not buy another Sailfish phone until:
- All cameras work, and the quality of photos is good, Camera 2 API is supported
- The phone functionality is always working as expected, including 4g and emergency calling, with no echo
- Switching from Wifi to a mobile connection NEVER causes a problem for Android apps (Reliable internet in Android Apps)
- Android apps think that a lock pin is set (Unable to set lock pin for Android apps requiring it)
- Important Android apps such as Revolut ‘just work’
- I can block Android apps from listening to localhost (see localmess.github.io)
- Android apps can use Bluetooth (I know that there is now a workaround that can be found here in the forum)
- eSim is supported, also from Android, so that I can use an app like Airolo
==> in general, Sailfish needs to be a Better, more secure/private Android
I already have that now, its called ‘iOS’… But of course I would be really happy if the new Sailfish device could be a real alternative
As for price/ram/screen resolution : the more the better
But the software has to work
