When they were very active, some of us and I, made many GPS trials back and forth Android ↔ Sailfish.
Android has so many abilities to determine positioning…
Even on an attested bad hardware condition you could seem having a very good GPS at a first glance.
Not saying for sure that you don’t have a software issue in your phone. Just bringing some nuance, as with GPS, it is is sometimes tricky to determine things.
Also, HW condition can degrade since the initial flashing. I saw that on some XA2 as, with me, they have an adventurous life (by often falling on the floor from the sofa or pocket xD)
