I never understand why people need to use an app for everything.
Honest question.
I live in the EU, I am perfectly fine with my SFOS phone as main & only driver.
Of course I also have another computer at home; don’t people anymore these days?
But even so, I can do everything I can do at home on the phone, too, even if it gets a little cumbersome with my fat fingers and failing eyesight.Of course an operating system like SFOS will be at its limits, and these people end up using appsupport more than anything. It becomes the single most imprtant issue for them, or so it seems from numerous forum posts. Everything has to work in appsupport, otherwise it’s a “dealbreaker”.
If I was a SFOS developer I’d feel pretty pissed off at this attitude. Why even go for it at all, when there’s no appreciation for what quality of life improvements it brings ?
With every single thing you think you really need an app for, please ask yourself if that is actually true. Can you not achieve the same by some other means, maybe physically, or in a regular browser window. Even if it’s a little more cumbersome. Or simply do it a little later. Or less altogether.
