Hi, my native Sailfish system sms (messaging) app sometimes don’t start. It happens usually when I receive one message and reply. Then I receive next message from the same number, but app begin to load and don’t open. I’ve got xperia xa2 plus. Maybe it is caused by system requirements. It happened once also with notepad app from Jolla store. I must then restart the phone usually, but if not, after some longer time the app can be start. Does someone has same or similar problem?
I have had same happen to my Xperia 10 couple of times during the years (only with Messages app).
Hi, which SFOS version are you using?
Have you tried to launch the app from the terminal?
I had the same issue sometimes on my XA2. Mainly with Messages, Notes and Calculator.
I never found the cause but found a workaround which is keeping apps open in partnerspace.
This allows you to keep some apps running in background and access them quickly by swiping from the right to the left.

I’d also recommend using the patch “Blur Partnerspcee Background“, thanks to @nephros, which greatly eases the readability.
