I predict cautiously that this AI hype will unfold similarly to the language assistants. Initially hyped everywhere, only to later become a mundane tool that is scarcely used. I’m not making accusations; that’s just how the computer business works.

Seems you were not there suffering “why o why” during the Jolla tablet time (when tablet market was dead already just like AI today) or you misread my comment. iPad Pro and other tablets in their niche markets are great or dead being irrelevant.
For Jolla no tablet, no AI crap that will only accelerate Jolla’s further demise while selling a hype cloak to further people’s idea’s and data stealing for big tech and MIC… doing what they do.
Please Jolla, just focus on the Sailfish OS, worldwide.
The original article says « Separate “independently fundable” business entities » meaning Jolla paid attention that a failure of one will not drag the other.
I’m trying not to laugh. NVidia became the third biggest corporation in a world of insanely large $multi-trillion corporations. It might even take over Apple because of AI, whose revolution is just beginning. It’s going to change almost everything and one day we will get artificial people, ones smart enough to not say that ‘AI is dead’.
