I’m new to Jolla and I’m still figuring things out, the new Jolla Phone has been great but the lowest volume is quite loud, is there anyway to make it any more quiet?

Yeah its a bit annoying the volume steps are also pretty big. There is a patch for that but it sadly doesn’t seem to be working for me but you can try it out
Mind boggling to me how this is a thing that isn’t patched upstream tbh. I do remeber this being an issue 10 years ago already with the old hardware
What is your OS version? People report it fixed since 5.2.0.18. See this:
This isn’t regarding call volume, but the speaker volume in general. The volume steps are too big and the minimum volume level is currently 9% if I recall correctly, which is quite loud in quieter environments.

I’m on the latest version of 5.2.0.20 and it still seems loud, I guess I’ll just have to make do with the volume being loud
True, minimum volume is too loud for some scenario’s.
And at the same time the loudspeakers are not loud enough.
I like how iOS allows step less touch screen adjustment of the volume level up to a point where the lowest audible volume actually competes against the background noise (analogue out) .
Another thing that currently bugs me in Sailfish OS is that there is no system wide L+R Balance control.

I installed this and unforunately it only changes the Ringtone volume and not the normal Volume.
