As many of you know, I recently ported SFOS 5.1.0.11 to Xperia 10 IV based on a LineageOS base. In that post, I said I don’t own an Xperia 10 V and therefore would not be doing the same for that.
Well - I didn’t realise just how similar these devices are. They use the same kernel, and the droid-configs are almost identical too, aside from a few minor discrepancies in partition layout and the like.
Working with @juz over the course of a few days, we have successfully managed to rework the X10IV port and get his X10V running. I’ll defer to him to post a list tomorrow of what is and isn’t working, but the short answer is that at this early stage it seems about as good as X10IV, except for the headphone jack. headphone jack works!
So, keep an eye on this thread. It will take another week or so probably to polish things to a level where people can safely install it, but a port for X10V is coming!

I have been lucky enough to have been able provide a testing service to @Sharks whilst he has worked hard on getting this port going. I want to say thank you Sharks for all the hard work you have put in. For me it has been amazing to watch you solve so many issues, and to watch your skills build a very functional port for the 10V. Surely to a congratulations on porting a device you have never even held in your hands! That is a feat in itself I think.
So my initial inspection of the current image shows a very functional port, that seems stable and usable. I’ll try and list things that work, and perhaps a couple that don’t, but this will surely change as testing progresses.
WORKING MOSTLY:
VoLTE
SMS and MMS
Mobile data (no 5g - might just be an Australia thing?)
Swapping SIM card whilst on
WiFi
Bluetooth - no more many minute restarts if I accidentally switch it off.
Camera - main rear and front - both video and still
Charging and Battery - though the device doesn’t alert on charger plug and unplug
Update: It looks like headphone jack is indeed working, it was likely just a first-boot gremlin like sensorfwd. It might even be a bug common to Xperia 10 IV, I’m not sure.
Did 5G work on Android before installing Sailfish? If it’s anything like the Xperia 10 III, 5G appears to be disabled in the modem configuration for Au and NZ.
That could explain why @mettska could get 5G service in Germany on Xperia 10 IV, but we can’t get it here. I don’t have a 5G service on my SIM so it’s not something I can really comment on.
Good question @tn71 , It didn’t. But my testing was very poor.
I had an Amaysim sim in, and they have only just moved my cheap plan to 5G being available. Amaysim is in a work phone for a little bit and now I have a Telstra sim in at the minute, but I didn’t check the Telstra sim on Android or Lineage.
So I can’t say if no 5G was due to Amaysim or 10V. Should have swapped to Telstra sim to check earlier.
I’ll tell you now though, I attempted this on the Xperia 10 III and although I got 5G working on Android, it didn’t want to come across to Sailfish, and I couldn’t get VoLTE to work on Sailfish either after (note that VoLTE doesn’t work automatically for me anyway as the NZ mbn files don’t exist on the Xperia 10 III, but my normal ways of getting it going seemed to then not work anymore - given you likely already have support in Au, you might be fine). Note (2), you have to be in stock Android to attempt this (if you figure out how to do it in Sailfish, please let me know!).
Should you attempt it, it goes without saying that you need to be with a network that supports the 5G bands and be within reception of the bands to experience 5G.

Thank you both! These are fantastic news! @jolla it would be very good if you could clarify the possibility of a supported user port for the 10 IV/V, so that all who bought a 10 IV/V can install the app support in the future…
I have a lot of confidence that the developers will figure this out over time.
About AAS… its up to jolla to give access, and I’m pretty sure they will, when and if this port comes mature enough.
Your assumption is correct. There is currently no working android support on either device. Currently neither AppSupport13 or Waydroid work. It is possible, that with a bit of pressure from the community, Jolla will support this community port. In doing so, they could give access to the newer AppSupport15 that they have shipped for the Jolla phone, and this has a better chance of working than the old AppSupport. Or at least I think/hope.
But for the time being, there is no android app support. This is certainly a downside over the official port.
I too hope Jolla will give access. Though note, that the current AppSupport available for the 10V is a long way from working I think. The community port is built on Lineage 22.2 (Android 15) and this seems to be problematic for the Android 13 that the official 10V’s AppSupport currently is.
