Soooo… I got my Jolla phone!!! I had planned to go to Day1 celebration but had to cancel it, on the day itself I thought maybe I could still catch the tail end of the event (and even messaged Sami) but the flight ended up delayed by an hour and the baggage claim took even longer. So I relegated myself to the back of the queue (since I’m in batch 3) and waited patiently.
These fine Jolla folks saw my comment above and messaged me and said, hey you can pick up your phone at the office since yours was tagged for Day1. Ahhhhh… silly me, trying not to be a nuisanse by bothering them with my messages when I could have simply asked and gotten it much much earlier! ![]()
Better late than never! While picking up the phone (luckily I live close by) I got a chance to catch up with the lovely sailors, and watch the office turned into a shipping operation. They apologized for the mess and I’m like no this is so great to see! It’s a continuous process by a small team to take care of each shipment with care. Every device flashed, tested, packaged, labelled, checked against the orders, bundled with the accessories, applied shipping labels, and boxed up for courier pickup. I almost wanted to jump in and help but I’ll probably mess something up in the intricate operation ![]()
Anyway, didn’t want to make this post too long, just wanted to thank the Jolla sailors and reassure those who haven’t received their phones… they are on the way! Gradually but surely, handled with love and care, sealed with a kiss (ok maybe not the last part). ![]()
