Then i hope you also added yourself in the dust thread. They are, afaik discussion a replacement of the screens or phones right now. Due to it is an issue with a manufacturer/factory, there is this this annoying thing, named insurance in between, which causes delays and costs additional manpower.
I guess itâs just the simplest of us, following what it says in the emails:
âIf you have any questions, reply to this email or contact us at shop@jolla.comâ, expecting answers within a month while wondering how to return the wrong products and have the right one. But worry no more av, I got answer to this in personal messages and it will be resolved.
The same thing happenee to me.. Silence until you write on the forum
Even if Jolla asks to send an email, what kind of mental acrobatics will lead to a situation where âmaybe sixth email in a little over a month is no longer a good ideaâ?
I received my phone today. My biggest gripe out of the box is the display refresh rate! Iâve been using a 120hz phone for 5 years, so this feels extremely sluggish now.
Also looks like my watch wonât connect at all, which is a major issue. Tesla app works though, weâll see how well once I actually go for a drive.
I believe there are some optimization issues that need to be fixed regarding refresh rate and maybe sampling rate as well.
Iâm using work phones with 120-144hz for ages but sfos devices with 60hz before j2 felt buttery smooth.
Actually, the issue with this is that every frame rate has its own animation behavior, if I can put it that way. For example, the reason Apple has kept 60Hz even on many of its standard iPhone models for years, all the way up to recent generations, without users making a huge fuss about it is because of the animations and how smoothly everything opens and moves.
When it comes to SFOS, we now have a phone with a 90Hz display, but the real question is whether the animations are actually designed to match that. For example, when you make a gesture with your finger, how smoothly does the interface follow and glide with that movement? Things like that are all built around animation design. Iâm sure theyâll take care of that side of it as well.
Yeah. I guess the main OS is pretty fluent, but for example scrolling in the browser is very sluggish.
Received my love yesterday <3
#47XX - Shipping 29.7.2026 - Delivery 10.8.2026 (Czech republic)
@tom.i Feel free to provide feedback in the Proâs & Cons thread after you Czech it outâŚ![]()
Why are you only posting updates in this forum? Why not send out a newsletter to everyone who placed an order? I ordered mine in April, and I havenât received any email or newsletter or anything since. Feels eerily like the tablet delivery in 2016 - back then I never got any email updates and the tablet never shipped, and customer support didnât respond to my April 2016 message until October 2016..
I expect an update with the next Community News that are expected after summer holiday season is over. While the sailors try to follow the sequence of orders, there are apparently many exceptions.
I ordered my phone on may 9th, still no payments link. Am I the only one?
They post updates to the forum as soon as they can, and itâs almost casual. But emails & website are much more formal/professional channels, and I wouldnât expect them to spam people with small updates - nor even longer updates, until they have big news and/or can be certain the news wonât be changed by later events. They seem to use email & website more for announcing big milestones.
I ordered on May 6th and received the payment notification on July 23rd, so about 3 weeks ago. I would have assumed you received yours too, already, going by the time. The subject of this mail was âJolla Phone is shipping - itâs time to complete your orderâ. I guess you already searched in your inbox, but maybe this helps for a more detailed search. Otherwise a direct contact to Jolla is probably the best option. My guess: They not only produce and ship the phones but also work the orders in batches and between May 6th and May 9th itâs been a break for some reason.
What makes you think that you wonât be getting your phone? What makes you think that there already are others who wonât be getting their phones?
Yes, as has been established a great many times: Jollaâs mode of communicating needs some improvement - but I donât see any proof for your deduction.
Calm down ok. I mean I wonât be getting mine or others who may be in the same situation will be getting the Sep II Batch delivery by the end of September. I didnât mean that the phone never will be delivered.
If it is any consolation, I doubt many people in the September batches are getting their phones in September at this rate.
It is what it is but I canât understand why the payment link isnât sent. Or if it has been sent, is my Gmail to blame. I usually donât have problems getting mail. Well I truly hope Jolla answer soon.
