Sorry about the delay, there is a 15 messages limit per day for new forum accounts and I was already responding to others.
The thing is I already bought in first batch (6th of December) and advertised it to others, so it is a bit hard for me to not buy now… Given the “speedy” responses from Jolla to emails, I think the device will before they reach my refund request email.
When you purchase stuff in ECOM site you are not expected to be checking FORUMS for updates about your order. You might be okay with being treated like a rock by a company you purchase stuff from, but I’m not.
Yet when the “final payment” email arrived it was known, rendering your statement invalid
While I know where you are coming from, I am tired by sloppy companies everywhere and people letting being mistreated. No hard feelings, I hope…?
The cherry on top thingy is this completely fuzzy and non-binding statement:
Read: “you bought AWD, but the seller once you paid says something like ‘the rear differential doesn’t work, but if you only drive on paved roads, it probably won’t matter’”. So as an early adopter I need to send emails (why not FORUMS, @Gunnson?
) that are known for being ignored/stuck in queue hoping that there will be a solution? It should have been fixed with a concrete declaration, something like “we will send you a replacement board if you need it (you will need to replace it yourself, here are the tutorials), but if you are OK with incomplete device you can get 50EUR store credit”. Not “if you want then maybe who knows we are not committing to anything”.
