Pre-ordered. Not sure about the orange color, maybe it’ll grow on me. Alternatively I’ll yoink a white one for a change from the usual black.
The storage capacity itself is gonna be rather nice for my FLAC collection ![]()

An adapter like this below, could easily just be left plugged on the end of your headphone cord when not in use
I personally switched to wireless headphones that have things like ANC so the 3.5mm jack is not that big of a concern anymore.
And I was also one of those “Keep 3.5mm jacks in the phones”, but just like with batteries and the fuckin’ stupid notches, everybody’s gonna copy the big players.
And then (if, as most phones, it doesn’t support analog audio by usb-c) the dongle used will be the ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) so audio quality will depend on it instead of the phone, and most are shit. Good ones, more than 30€ for sure, probably quite more.
It’s nice if that is possible. I still wonder if the phone has hardware support for it. (I guess the analog audio signal must be routed to the USB-C pins and I bet this is an optional part of the USB-C spec)
The problem with this is that it occupies the charging port. That is unfortunate for me, because I only use headphones on vacations, when I’m short on battery time.
is the pre-order 99€ or 94,66 € ?

I paid 93,87 €
may be some small VAT diff?
Maybe. I don’t understand it. It had 14.99 € tax included. What is your tax amount?
My 2005 Saab has a 3.500 € Radio. No Bluetooth, no audio jack but wonderfull navigation in Swedish with historic maps.
So I had every reason to pre order. ![]()
I wonder if this could be a brilliant point in time to discuss some more features I personally would like to see.
I paid €79.17 (converted from £69.11 BritCoins to EUR), I live in the UK which might make a difference.
That’s a gap of over €10 though, and almost €20 off the advertised €99. Baffling.
I wander if it is (SIM and SIM and MicroSD) or (SIM and (SIM or MicorSD)).
With being in the UK I also paid the same amount, I think its because we pay VAT/Customs Duties to the courier when it goes through customs but I might be wrong.
these can be used with a splitter! at least here in Poland, Action sells splitters that can split a USB-C into 2 USB-Cs, or a USB-C and a 3.5mm. (not a product plug, I swear)
I’ve seen other such things all over the place, so you can probably get some easily wherever you are, in a variety of styles. it definitely sucks having one more thing to carry around, but it works. and it’s still preferable to bluetooth headphones lmaoooo
There are splitters for that, just search AliExpress.
That’s what my wife does with hers for her USB-C +3.5mm splitter for her Xiaomi phone.
By the way, it’s a 10 cm double wire, not a box.
I joined the crowd funding as well!
I wonder if it will be usable as Android Auto when having Android App Support enabled.. Does anyone have an answer for that?
Could not see NFC in the specs. NFC is getting more and more relevant and for future proofing of phone it’s needed.
NFC is mentioned/listed
I am also one of tge 3.5mm jack users and if I want workarounds I go to work… Side note for the ones preferring workarounds, there are also workarounds for not having a screen.
