FYI, there are USB-C adapters that split the port into a 3.5mm jack and a charging port. it’s far from ideal, but it kinda-sorta works.
There are BT<←>3.5mm adapters capable also as a hand free as well. I used it in M2 from 2010.
Oh, thanks for the hint that something like that is existing. I couldn’t imagine, that works because of the getting power and sound so near to each other.
So, that would be a feasible solution!
It works good on Media Nav Evolution (short MNE). But i observe the Car-Audio-Systems have also Software-Flaws and thus SailfishOS is not to blame for it (alone). For example MNE kicks rarely random the paired Phones out of the Paring-list, also Stock Android-Devices. But i would say 95% of the time no Problems which is enough for my needs.
But the Cable-Adapters mentioned above are a really good solution!
And a new narikkatori event!
In other news, in just over five hours we’ve hit 25% funded ![]()
500 down, 1500 to go. Assuming the rate of orders stays around the same, we could make it to 100% within a week.
Um, not it’s not. I have an old car audio system that works just fine without bluetooth.
I talked about Cars of this century. Even Dacia have it!
my car radio is from this century, but my Bus, is not. The care radio actually has an sdcard slot. That is what I usually use. Road music mix.
If not i will order a second one. But i don’t want to catch it away from newcomers.
That’s fair, but there was also a guy saying he had ordered three. Not sure if that was a joke but still ![]()
He sounds serious (get away from the big players…), but anyway funny ![]()
Faved. Now send me a phone, please ![]()
I’ll go place three orders for each of my cats
e: profile picture and name not relevant, I am definitely human
Of note is this section on the commerce.jolla.com page, which I’m pretty sure wasn’t there an hour ago. Worth a look for anyone outside of Europe.
I’ll pre-order a second one if I have to kick this thing over the finish line!
Backed. The second good news today.
For the folks complaining about it not having a 3.5mm jack: there are USB-C-to-USB-C/3.5mm splitters out there.
I’m thrilled this phone is ergonomic and has 12GB of RAM! Also, pretty stylish design.
I’ll be preordering once I confirm that it’s as close to 68mmin width for perfect one hand usability, and it will have 3.5mm audio jack. Crossing my fingers!
I hope it will be possible to order a secondary back cover right with the device. Somehow I like all three colours…
Still hoping for a headphone jack, since I regularly listen to music on my Xperia 10 III (and the previous versions) for multiple hours and an adapter is just one more possible cause for failure (or I just lose it). Preordered it anyway, since I can live with an adapter, but that and the notch are so far the only small negatives ![]()
