Do we know if the new device supports Quick charge? I’m plugging it into different chargers and maximum I get is ~ 12W (with 100W charger).
Doesn’t seem like it, max I got was 2600mA with steam deck charger today (previously it was 2200ish), it’s a bit weird that now it managed to get higher

There’s an issue with QC 3.0. I guess we’ll need to wait a few weeks for most of the staff to return.

I have seen 4000-5000 mA with a 25W Samsung charger. However, only directly when waking up and in a very patchy manner, most of the time it was down at 1500 mA.
Given that, I switched to an old 5V2A charger, it is charging solidly at 2100 mA and is pretty much as fast overall as the 25W charger, but without heating up the battery.
We will see how things go when the bug is being resolved.

Okay, thanks for clarifying that this thread is primarily focused on experiences with the JP2 device hardware, not the software and apps. I honestly didn’t realize that.
Same for me. With some chargers, I get up to 2,600 mA, which is fairly fast charging. However, according to AIDA64, the figures can be very inconsistent. Sometimes I get only around 300 mA, while at other times I get about 2,200 mA with the same 65 W charger. It feels as though the phone is not handling charging properly.
With another charger, it sometimes charges correctly at around 1,500 mA, while at other times it alternates between the messages “Charging” and “Remove charger to save energy.”, the cherger is not recognized properly, sometimes even after a reboot.
The charging system definitely still needs some refinement, but after almost three weeks of use, it has always been manageable.

Update 2:
The Jolla2 is now my daily driver. I am pleased with it. Everyone who wants to go away from Google and Apple can give it a try. The system is different, so it will take some effort to get accustomed to it and you will miss a few apps, but really, if I can, everyone can.
I had a transparent silicon back cover, originally for the XA2+. I cut it out where the buttons on the right are (with little scissors for baby nails) It fits tightly on the Inori Blue back cover. Jolla’s logo is visible.

From 10 minutes of use, I would say, the new Jolla Phone is, was the Jolla C2 should have been.
Decent browser, good performance, the size, well, still a bit larger than my Sony Xperia 10 III, but smaller than the C2. Once I have a belt pocket for the Jolla Phone, it will replace the Xperia 10 III as my daily driver.

I have been using this new Jolla since the day1 event in Helsinki. I was expecting a lot more issues as I have never used Linux and am very used to the easynes of apple and android. The only day to day issues that I have are the lack of tap-to-pay and I cant’t access my Teams work-account (might actually be a positive). All the other apps I need I have gotten to work or replaced with ones from Jolla-store. Over all very happy with the experience and can now recommend to my friends who are very curious.

When signing up, I had some issues setting up my fingerprint. I had to use Google to know where the fingerprint scanner actually was, spent some time spamming the screen for nothing 
Also, seems like there is no email verification when creating the Jolla account.

Yes, one user has already pointed out to Jolla, that the guiding graphics make it look like the fingerprint reader is on the left edge of the phone, when in reality it is on the right. Maybe they could just mirror the image, if they don’t already have a picture for the right side fingerprint reader.
Would the verification add any value here? Jolla is trying to minimize the amount of data they have on us.

I’ve setup and used the phone for a few days. So here’s my little quick opinion. I will not compare it to the big players. My previous daily drivers been the original Jolla Phone, Jolla C, Xperia XA2, Xperia 10 Plus (I think? I might misremember the name). Xperia 10 II… I might have misremember or forgotten something. But the main thing is I will here only give first impressions compared to other Sailfish phones.
The CEO summary: best experience so far using SailfishOS on a phone.
- It’s much faster than my previous daily driver
- Android apps especially launch very fast. It makes a really big difference in usage
- The amount of memory compared to my previous daily driver is kind of hard to get used to still, but is liberating
- Camera is best that I’ve had with SailfishOS
- MicroG builtin saves a lot of hassle
- The built is sturdy and I’m a fan of the formfactor instead of the boring rounded edges that I find ugly
The cons, and these are compared to all of the above (and probably things I’ve forgot to mention) are kinda minor:
- The phone is bigger than I’d like. Preferably I’d have liked a bit smaller one, but it is what it is
- The e-mail client is really frigging borked with many e-mails. I don’t know if it’s regression or a side-effect of the bigger resolution on this. But many of them are unreadable small text. And also experience bugs like not being able to zoom, or scrolling don’t work etc
I guess that’s a quick wrap-up. I’m really enjoying it, warts and all.

Got the device and hardware wise I’m pretty pleased with and it feels solid in the hand. A big thank you to everyone that stood your ground that it should have been an OLED display. The display is great, vivid and bright and the best Jolla display so far even better than the Sony OLEDs. The OLED really does the UI justice with its vibrant color schemes.
The stereo speakers are ok, not best in class but adequate.
One thing when watching videos on Youtube with the built in browser, the browser is very unresponsive at 1080p and higher. I believe that this is a software issue that can be improved upon.
Finally this is the big good bye to Sony. No more dependence on Sony and instead full control over the HW and SW with all the documentation available. It’s good that Jolla finally can stand on their own legs.

Honestly, I got curious, so I drew the Jolla Phone on a piece of paper and cut it out. It’s almost the same size and width as the Xperia 10 III. I don’t think it’s as big as the Jolla C2—or maybe you’re just obsessed with mini phones. Honestly, mini phones are nice too, yeah.
Pros and Cons experience on using the GLONASS and BEIDOU for navigation would be deeply appreciated…

I’m sure it’s smaller than Jolla C2. But I never bought that one as I didn’t like the offering. My latest is Xperia 10 II which is smaller and llighter. But I much prefer the new Jolla Phone in every imaginable way except the size - and that’s a small complaint.
And how could I forget the touble tap to wake in my original post - such a small but such a pleasurable thing to have back.

Not sure if this is glonass/beidou but j2 regularly catches couple dozen satellites within seconds (with clear sky 4-5s), never seen this before as on xperias you’d wait for a minute for 4(maybe 6)/48 sattelites in use according to gpsinfo, it’s a huge improvement (not sure if chipset or the beacondb integration is responsible, but it’s night and day)

All website account registrations should require email verification:
- Stop people registering using someone else’s email address (has happened to me), without their consent.
- Ensure you entered the correct email address, in case you ever need it for say a password reset.
