This is a tad bit off-topic to phone’s first experience, but it is on the mark of first Jolla/Sailfish experience. So please excuse me for being slightly off topic:
I have been observing the forum for the past week and have read the forum rules and no where in the rules is required and stated that newcommers should first read the entirety of the forum before opening their mouth, or if duplicated opinions are unwelcome. But it is the third rule that “Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree” which in my dictionary it translates to be kind, be understanding, and be gentle.
There is also this phrase in the FAQ:
The conversations we have here set the tone for every new arrival. Help us influence the future of this community by choosing to engage in discussions that make this forum an interesting place to be — and avoiding those that do not.
This is not the only thread that I have observed this type of gate-keeping behavior and attitude, and I must say it is very unwelcoming, and at least it is against the spirit of the rules if it is not perfectly against the words of the rules!
