Jolla Phone does not support 5G for several providers in several countries

For the record, at minimum some units in some cases only get 2.5G (EDGE) networking.

Tested those combinations while being physically in Germany:

SIM TRAY - CARRIER - ACTUAL NETWORK - TYPE

1 - TELEKOM (DE) - TELEKOM (DE) - 2.5G
2 - Orange (PL) - TELEKOM (DE) - 4G

1 - Orange (PL) - TELEKOM (DE) - 4G
2 - TELEKOM (DE) - TELEKOM (DE) - 2.5G

1 - TELEKOM (DE) - TELEKOM (DE) - 2.5G

2 - TELEKOM (DE) - TELEKOM (DE) - 2.5G

For my newbie eyes it looks like SFOS gets some broken config for an actual Telekom SIM card and something just doesn’t work during the phone/carrier handshake.

I also observe that Orange SIM gets 4G connectivity in few seconds, while Telekom cards needs some good 40 seconds to finally rest at EDGE.

Telekom (Germany) - only 2.5G

Since I first start the phone I see that one sim card only gets maximum 2.5G when connected. I tried with different slots, multisim, single sim, I’ve also moved this card back to an old LineageOS phone. It’s always 2.5 with below 1mbit/s on speed test and 4G on that old Android phone. What’s even more annoying, the second sim card I have (Orange Poland), while in roaming, still connects to the same Telekom network as the main card, and there I see Telekom 4G… Anyone has some ideas how to tac…
