Jolla Phone Community Shipping Tracker

Why? Which batch are you in?

please feel free to not keep us appraised of your ‘deadline’.

if you were upset about it taking over a month longer than they estimated, and you needed a new phone now and couldn’t wait another week, i’d understand, and would say you should ask for a refund (though i might question why you would preorder a phone 8 months out but suddenly have a tight deadline).

if you were worried that you would never get your phone because it looks like you got skipped, i would definitely understand the panic, but i would reassure you that many like you did in fact get their phone after initially panicking about this. (this is what i thought you were thinking at first, and why i think you should PM jolla, in case your shipping address requires special handling or something)

…but now i wonder if you don’t actually care when you receive the phone, but you just want to ensure that you receive it before the people who ordered a few hours after you. is it so important that you be recognised for ordering on December 7th instead of the losers who ordered on the 8th? if that is how you feel, just ask for your refund and buy a trophy.

1, the one that is fully shipped by today ( according to last week email)

Well getting the phone before I go away for a month in foreign country would be good.

Getting the phone before the current battery fully balloon would be good.

i am somewhat chagrined to realize that i could have preordered a second JP2 in batch3 and gotten both phones early. i assumed they multiple phones from different batches would ship separately, unlike accessories/etc, but now i see that this is incorrect.

i started panicking (as i am inclined to do) about what i would do if i broke my JP2 or it was stolen, but couldn’t justify the huge expense for a phone i had never even used. then i thought i could almost certainly resell either or both JP2s for exactly what i paid for it without too much risk, but ultimately decided not to order a second one because of the delay. and now the 12gb is 750EUR, plus separate shipping, and i am sad.

ah, cool, you do have a real deadline, and not a trophy thirst. what’s that about batteries and balloons though? i’m having some trouble parsing what you wrote

I have ordered in 1. batch, order #54, no shipping info yet. Used other e-mail when paying using Paypal. Jolla said that the processing could take ‘substantially longer‘ because of e-mail mismatch. But seeing that batch 2 is shipping now makes me a little impatient.

Oh interesting - I have been wondering why Posti doesn’t show any status. Does DHL ‘reuse’ the Posti tracking number?

We’re back to regular operation, I’m mostly recovered. Another thing to note: Tomorrow there will be a slight moment where cryptpad will be down for maintenance. If you happen to have a look at either the sheet or the tracker it may not be available during that period.

In my case they do. Sending to The Netherlands.

Yes, i got 3 numbers, using 17Track and selecting Posti, one does not work, that was my DHL one.

They did in Germany.

Batch #1 arrived today in the Czech Republic! Pre-order #6275 / order #23686, shipping email on Aug 18, delivered Aug 26 — about 8 days door-to-door. Haven’t switched it on yet, so no impressions of the phone itself just yet — will follow up once I’ve lived with it a bit.

But one thing worth sharing right away for anyone still staring at a frozen Posti page: mine showed “We are waiting for the parcel from the sender” the entire time, right up until the courier knocked. It never moved once.

The reason is the service: it shipped via Posti Parcel Connect (printed at the top of the label). That’s a consolidated cross-border service — Posti only handles the first leg inside Finland, then hands the parcel to partner carriers (Baltic hub → transit → local delivery). The Posti item ID only covers Posti’s own leg, so once the parcel leaves Finland the scans go into the partner networks and the Posti tracker never updates. My label had a CZ routing code ((2L)CZ46334) pointing at the final Czech carrier, but I never got that carrier’s tracking number, so there was nothing to follow.

So if your Posti tracking is stuck on “waiting for the parcel,” it very likely doesn’t mean anything is wrong — the parcel is moving, Posti just can’t show it. A universal tracker like 17track or parcelsapp sometimes picks up the onward leg; the official Posti page won’t.

Thanks to the Jolla crew and this community for all the info along the way! :fish:

Item has been registered

The item can be registered several times during delivery. Registrations do not affect the item’s delivery speed but simply show the progress of the delivery.

It is getting close, (I live on the border)

If you listen carefully you will hear sort of a hissing sound in the tiny moment just before DHL comea around the last corner. :upside_down_face:

You probably received multiple emails with different codes, and one of those codes is supposed to get the updates, and rest are unused codes created by Jolla’s internal workflow.

Posti owns their own sorting center in Lithuania, that should handle everything else going outside of Finland, except for Nordic countries. Posti’s own tracker should receive updates at least until Lithuania, if not even the next leg to the local carrier.

Is it my impression or does it seem that yesterday and today nothing was shipped?

This is the last trace of my parcel. Not move since then.
