Jolla Phone 2026 - batch 1 - Dust building up between front camera and screen glass

So only a subset of first batch is affected or it’s random phones from all the batches? Do we need to post order details here in order to get contacted?

I am just guessing that Jolla will figure out which series numbers might be affected and then will contact those users being concerned. That is how I interpret Jolla’s message.

As Jolla already pointed out twice…..
batch #1 was produced by 4 different assemblers, at least on has made this error.

Has it emerged yet if these 12Gb devices are defective?
Early backer’s JP2s are affected? If so, I guess 12Gb phones need to be assembled from scratch?
Estimated Time of Arrival?

Any clarification from Jolla welcome.
thanks

They already wrote clear. They know which devices are affected and they’ll notify users.

Did I overread that somewhere?

So one could say that roundabout just 25% of the phones delivered before the solution will have the dust problem?

Would it be helpful for Jolla to have serial numbers of up to now unaffected phones too?

I’m sure Jolla has already identified the faulty manufacturing line(s), and probably doesn’t need any more serial numbers. If people start reporting, that they are not affected by the defect, just out of the joy of helping, a few incorrect or ambiguous reports could inadvertently cause Jolla to flag hundreds of new phones as defective unnecessarily, causing inconvenience to customers and financial loss to Jolla.

What time frame can we expect? My device is affected too, so I reckon I will be contacted sooner or later. I’m not in a hurry, but at which point should I proactively contact Jolla because they’ve missed my device somehow?

And, I guess since affected devices are all in batch #1, they all have the I3C-problematic subboard. Is this also fixed by the replacement?

You said it yourself. Sooner or later.
