Received mine just now as planned by UPS
Plugged-in as advised, battery was 58%, waited until 95%, then booted the device and configured it without any issue.
Now downloading Sailfish OS version 5.0.0.21…
The tricky step is from 4 → 5, it needs extra help!

Apparently DHL is of the opinion that I am not entitled to receive my parcel…the DHL guy did not appear today either, even though it should have, according to the tracking. COME OOOOOON.
I think they are still under schock after all these problems…
The issue I see here is even though I understand this is a limited number launch and many people in here are very knowledgeable and will for sure find many solutions there will be people -like me- interested in using SailfishOS but cannot afford to have a phone that’s unreliable to the point I can’t make an emergency call or take a video of my kid.
Also this forum can be seen without login in, so anyone with a slight curiosity will get to this threads and likely be put off.
I expected unstable but basic functions needed to be ready, I can live without 4G for a while but I can’t use a phone unable to make a call.

So your old phoned bricked at the time the J2 arrived? No? Ok, than play around with the J2 and give feedback about bugs. After one or two updates it will work. They said before calling will be a problem. And they said before its beta-status. Usually they give updates for all phones at the same time. This time SFOS 5 is only released for J2 because its not working full.
The problem with calling by the way is a problem with 4G. As I understand calli g over 2G and 3G should work but VoLTE is not working as stated weeks ago.
So my J2 is working as expected. And I was waiting really for it to replace my struggling 10ii. But I can wait till SFOS is ready on J2 (or some newer Xperia - I didnt check how big the phone is when I ordered. My fault)

Finally, mine has arrived too. It came with about 50% charge while turned off. The startup was smooth, and the device didn’t freeze even once. The WiFi works, and the mobile network is like the others. The update installed without any issues, but after restarting, I got a bit scared because the screen didn’t respond to touch. However, locking and then unlocking the screen solved the problem for me.
Mine is stuck in (Germany, sorting at transit gateway) for 4 days, i am afraid and semi believe that it got lost.

4 days are common, no idea what happened in Kaunas. Next step than is Radefeld (DHL base at the airport Leipzig/Halle).
The Posti tracking number will not work perfect with dhl.com.
Pick up mine Friday, but have been fully occupied during the weekend. Based on all mentioned issues, I think I will put my unboxing on-hold for a while.

Unfortunately (for me) it is not possible (OR it is a bit more difficult) to order a pick-up at home for items that go outside of the country. I was “forced” to send it myself. I wish this is an opportunity to learn – learn from mistakes.
