Interesting, just checked the retail price of the android version, considering the volume order plus the markup it seems like some decent profit was made. Hope is reinvested on development.

Like I already said, somewhere else, Jolla need some pay for their work and also their hardware partner Reeder.
Flashing SFOS, rebranding physical hardware and the logistic not to mention. Non of it comes for free.

I guess you are free to buy a cheep Reeder phone and flash it with free version of SFOS, but how would that contribute to the only fully working mobile OS alternative?
I would kindly ask for update about deliveries. We want a working phone and I think community would back me up by saying that we could wait some more time, but deliveries were to start this week and there is no further info about shipments beeing ready. Some of us didn’t even get the final payment link.
So and update please? If there is something not ready yet just say so.
Over the years we learned to be patient and don’t expect all the deadlines to be “deadlines”.
So once again nothing to do but wait, but we would like to know what we are waiting for.
I’m with you 100% that’s why I hope the limited number of devices are enough to make a decent profit, or at least significant enough to aid the development, nothing Is free and developers need to eat!
I really hope that Jolla would make a profit of this, for all the reasons you mentiones, Im just hoping we are not left behind

We made it! We got customs clearance yesterday and Jolla C2 community devices arrived to Tampere today noon. Of course, we immediately commuted ourselves to Tampere Hervanta and started verifying the shipment process, preparing pick and pack, fulfilling first orders together with our logistic partner. First batch of C2 devices shipped out today and continues on following weeks.
If you have not received your C2 final payment link, you should receive it later today or latest on Monday. As commented earlier, we’ll comment here once all payment links have been sent.
