Jolla C2 Community Phone deliveries

My phone should have arrived on Monday but no DHL delivery person showed up. So on Tuesday morning I checked the track and trace again and was in complete shock when I read that I had refused the package and the phone was being send back to Jolla. I did what? When? According to the track and trace the phone was on it’s way at 21:41 and I refused the package at 23:06. Since when does DHL deliver package so late at night? They don’t of course, it’s a rather obvious lie. All my attempts to get DHL to still deliver the package to me have failed, they refuse to help and say I should contact the sender. Very annoying, I don’t have the phone and I have to bother Jolla because DHL completely sucks.

If it’s going back at least it will be re-blown and you’ll have the new updated OS on it!

I sometimes get this with a local delivery agency when they can’t cope with all the packages. Usually it comes the next day, but their return ‘to the base’ always generates that annoying status… DHL should be better at this though.

And yes, shipments have been paused

How about communicating that? The last email I had from you said “We’re getting your order ready to be shipped. We will notify you when it has been sent.”

If you’ve made a decision to pause shipments (for valid reasons, as I understand), then it really wouldn’t have been hard to send a followup email saying “We’re having some teething problems and have paused shipments until they’re resolved. We’ll be in touch when we resume shipments”. But no. Instead we just got silence.

I like Jolla. I like the product. But your customer interactions frankly suck.

Thank you. I even privately emailed them offering to act on their behalf to do this. Do some blog posts to keep people up to date.

They are a small team I know but …

Absolutely makes sense that too good to go needs safety net device verification. Malicious unknown people could fraudulently get access to all this precious leftover food

Great news! It seems Jolla has continued shipments. Mine should arrive tomorrow.

How can you say?
I had a message today, saying…

We’re getting your order ready to be shipped. We will notify you when it has been sent.

…and I’m one of the few that had to send it back to be re flashed, because of the famous login loop issue.
I’m really grateful to Jolla, for fixing this mess, but posts like the above makes me kind of frustrated. :confused:

I also have returned my C2 for reflash. I sent it back 31.10 arrived in tampere 07.11, got info on return shipment on 13.11 and today 20.11 it finally arrived at my place, so overall it took 3 weeks.

It is fully working this time, preset with 12345 code, set to english uk. I got it preflashed with 5.0.21. Thanks @Jolla!

My C2 is on the way to Jolla this week and waiting for the reflashed one to get to me eventually.

Tracking info says Posti received the package yesterday and it’s ready for transport. A truck will pick it up today and the package will be delivered on the same day since it is local.

Also received a tracking code from Jolla today, on way to Posti and propably will arrive here tomorrow or Saturday/Monday.

Well just received mine. Came with screen protector and silicone case. Thanks guys. Seems like a nice upgrade from the original one… :wink: Time to download the SDK!

I received the fixed unit today. I was required the security code and I entered the pin code I set before. It didn’t work. Does anyone face the same ? Is there any default pin code of something ?

They are all set to 12345 unlock code. You should have known, if you read your bi pack.

For the super unlucky people who had the boot bug and had to return the phone but are living outside the EU (UK in my case) what happens with customs?

Apparently, Jolla will need to pay handling fees for the package to be released, based on the tracking information above. I assume/hope they will get the money back through Returned Goods Relief but it poses a question of how to handle that when it comes back as I will probably pay customs again when it returns.

I wouldn’t be surprised if I get the phone after Christmas especially considering how messy Royal Mail, Posti, and Parcelforce have been so far on handling deliveries. Even worse if Jolla never acts on the above and the phone ends up being returned back to me unfixed.

For now, I added the tracking information to my zendesk ticket as I didn’t get any response from the email I sent.
