Hi, here’s a bunch of Public transport trip planners in Europe.
Some sites that use OpenStreetMap seem to have problems.
Text based services like Netherlands railways and Transport For London seem to work fine.
Does not work at all:
Switzerland trip planner. https://www.sbb.ch
Gives “Application error: a client side exception has occurred”
Tried also “desktop site” on SFOS browser, same result.
Partial results:
City of Tampere, Finland, trip planner. https://reittiopas.tampere.fi
Works, but OSM transit maps missing from results.
On a similar note, Google Maps is hit and miss. If you navigate to Google Maps first, then enter an address, it works but is slow and difficult. If you search for something in Google, then hit ‘Directions’, you land on a white screen.
Not the end of the world as I have Pure Maps, but Google is more reliable with odd addresses and it’s sometimes nice just to glance at a map while you’re searching so you have a rough idea without having to go to the trouble of finding the place again in Pure Maps.
but on SFOS 4.6.0.15 it stay on https://imgur.com/zV8sXxG and does not display anything only gray page looks like some javascript problem - getting same behavior on desktop with disabled javascript by no-script
Various pages on welt.de cause the browser connection to die.
When you open the pages, they are only partially loaded according to the loading bar (although the screen is still white) and then nothing works anymore.
Closing the tab doesn’t help, nor does closing the entire browser.
Restarting the network connection via the utilities doesn’t help either.
Other programs still have a connection to the internet.
In the end, only a reboot helps to be able to use the browser again.
Or restarting the start screen via the utilities, as I have just found out.
This happens to me on the C2 and an XA2.
Today it was this page, among others: Horse Powertrain will Werke großer Autokonzerne übernehmen - WELT
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeRkvVDwKck has no audio with ESR91. Disabling VP9 worked to enable audio for some other YouTube video with similar issues, but not for this one.
Yes, maybe that’s it. Funbird ;-)! But that happens with other sites too, although it’s most noticeable with Welt.
I usually read news via Google News and unfortunately often notice too late that I’ve clicked on such a W site :-(.
But it shouldn’t crash a browser so badly that only a reboot helps. Closing the affected tab or at most the browser should solve the problem. But OK, it’s sailfish.
