yes i used windows before.

on the proton vpn website i have found the linux version but now it asks me to manually add all this code in my terminal window, which i have tried many times before and it just doesnt work. It drives me insane.

now i have spend all day chatting here and i am still none the wiser. i am getting really tired. and depressed bc of this

Then we skip laptop, also please consider reinstalling windows as you wont have much fun with your pc if you cant use it properly and ask your son for every litte detail.

Take your phone and open the Browser app (the one with the top left icon from your first screenshot). is probably in browsers folder (not Brave, we need the one that just says “Browser”)

To get a VPN config for your phone, look here: How to download WireGuard configuration files | Proton VPN

And then you can go into the the Settings App, then to VPN. There, choose to add a new VPN (maybe this option is in a pull-down-menu, so you need to tap on the screen and drag to the bottom for it to open).

In the new dialog that opens up, choose “WireGuard” as the VPN-Type. This will show you two buttons. Choose the “Import file” (or whatever its called in your language) button. This gives you sort of a file picker dialog, just like on other smartphones. Go to “Home-Folder” and “Downloads” (your file will probably be stored there, if you haven’t chosen another location when you downloaded it). Click on the VPN-file you downloaded earlier. It will show you some settings with strange values. This is fine. Just click on “Accept” in the top right corner and you should be good to go!

It looks like your apps got sorted to folders. The shapes with numbers in them are folders, if you tap on them, you go into the folder and the apps are there
