[Hardware] : Choice of the most compatible device for SailfishOS 5.0

I bought sony xperia IV but i find no camera and maybe other function disfonction.

What device must be more compliance for android support with sony device or other model ?

It’s just to test app before receive my pre-order Jolla phone !

No more 150€ if possible with second hand

Thanks a lot

It depends if you need Android App Support. I need it and was really satisfied with my X10-III. One of rinigus’s ports are good one, but no Android App Support. Check Xperia Tama port: discussion on future direction and Sony Nagara (Xperia 1IV and 5IV) port. Mal does good job too, check Sailfish OS for Fairphones devices.

Where do you find riningus’s ports for Xperia X 10 IV by example ?

I want to test the stability of the android app support, but in the first time, want to test sailfish app and app environment.

Thanks a lot

Nowhere as it’s Jolla’s job.

Nowhere as it’s Jolla’s job.

This is downloadable here ? And not in other place so ?

The battery drain a lot 50% just by a night and no camera working.

Thanks a lot

Sony Xperia 10 III is known as the officially supported device with the fewest bugs. Some complain about echo issues, everything else seems to work. Battery drain is higher than expected.

It took a while to get there, but meanwhile I am pretty satisfied with it.

What sailfish version do you use ?

And if it’s not 5.0, where to download ?

Echo issues are fixed by flashing over Android 13 instead of Android 11 as the documentation suggests.

Current version of sailfish os will not bring any noticeable performance benefit (if not worse) from xperia 10 III t o xperia 10 V (tested), maybe due to blob or whatever optimization issue.
