@Kertzi
I had the same experience. After i selected the Here free plan and entered my credit card, everything worked after a few hours.

I have been trying navi with Pure Maps and OSM Scout applications. Pure Maps has more details in maps - I can find street addresses and houses, but there is no proper finnish voice assistant.

OSM Scout finds the street but not always the building I’m looking for. However, voice assistance in finnish is very good.

Is there a way to use OSM Scout server with OSM Scout applicatio? That would be really nice combination.

Anyone from England, Wales or Scotland brave enough to test? Please DM for the download link.

hey,

Is this available in the UK yet?

It’s available for testing (DM me for the link), but it’s not publicly released yet.
The road geometry in the UK is different enough that it took quite a while to get everything right.

Did you find any solution? Have the same issue. Seems not to be JP26 related. Started on my previous Xperia already. From one day to another the map was blank. On my new phone it’s the same.

Haven’t find solution. HERE maps are still shown as blank.

I assume we are talking about Pure maps with Here API here? If you downloaded the Pure maps from Harbour it has older Here API, which doesn’t work anymore. If you want to get it working now you need to install the Pure maps from Chum. With that Here API works correctly

Yes, exactly, Pure Maps with Here API. I know, not the right topic but since here was some discussion already…

Thanks for the hint but I’m using the latest version from Chum.

Then I don’t know unfortunately….

Ah, I see. I have now some debug log but posting it to Pure Maps specific topic if such exists. Looks like HERE gives 410 HTTP (Gone) code when Pure Maps is trying to load raster maps.

Here is correct thread: Pure Maps (Native map app)

Actually I found the solution.

I had version installed from Jolla Store, so installed one from Chum (big thanks @CLMA31 for the tip) and then create App (to get api key) at Here Platform

For the app created in their platform portal, you need grant it proper permissions so api key can access necessary services, by default it gets none. That’s done via their Project Manager

Create new project, assign app to project. Link services (HERE search*, HERE routing services) to project and that’s it.

It should now work.

Organic Maps does the job for

But it’s not native and it’s only offline. So why exactly is better then Pure Maps?

Because op asked for an android navigation app that works…

YOU ARE MY HERO!!

After linking services it worked right away and I have the feeling that the search function is very much umproved!!

OSMScout works fine. If I remember correctly I have to install to Xperia 10 lll some speech engines but on Jolla 2026 navigation works fine with sound guiding, without installing anything. I use english language.

And Stumblefish helps get location connecting faster.

Just one observation I made navigating with Pure Maps and OSMScout: GPSInfo helps a lot to get a fast fix and GPS-only mode is just as fast and far more accurate than AGPS.
