FYI, there are some kid/personal pictures in the Git history.

Yeah but mine only talks a bout locations, as in directories - you seem to be talking more about starring/favoriting/tagging individual items?
One suggestion is to cut the photo-list with months like this:
December 2025
November 2025
..etc

Preferably separating individual days as well, or at least showing the dates somewere while scrolling. Or a mini-menu that allows you to switch between month and day separators. Either way, being able to scroll directly to a specific date is a very useful function if you need to sift through hundreds of holiday photos.
Another nice feature would be an overview of all gps tags to find photos based on location instead of date.
(I’m not on GitHub so can’t comment there.)
