Thank you for your replies!
Crossing fingers for a working headphone Jack next release…
Or maybe i shouldnt write that, its known that writing a wish for features causes them to be delayed
My feeling is like that it is far more generic:
You do not need to write them down for the delay
new version 0.1.4-2 is able to power-off phone on low battery level, but it needs privileged perms.
i hope that sony/jollas will fix xperia 10V sooner than i will get time to rewrite this app as the patch for some system qml file what is already privileged…
On my 10 V the battery is correctly displayed with the SFOS 5 standard .62 when
- SFOS 5 is flashed on top of Android 15 (!)
- and Android 13 (!) blobs are used
WLAN and bluetooth work also in this configuration. Did not insert a SIM yet, used this only at home so far.
Headphone and torch not working also in this config. And display cannot reach sufficient brightness to be used outdoors (at least in my device).
But hey, at least battery indicator is working correctly.
Sony will provide working blobs in the year 2525 I fear…
thanks for feedback, could you please check all with SIM?
my GF using 10V as daily driver with SF 4.6.0.15, she use hotspot and BT headphones daily. 4G,5G VoLTE, sms all works fine there…(but yes she complains daily that she want camera and jack audio…)
i have 10V too but actually just for testing only (until year 2525 of course),but with the SFOS 5.0.0.62 on my 10V and also @tom.i noticed that turn on BT is random game … on the other side it looks like that battery drain caused by bluebinder has been fixed (on 4.6.0.15 BT has to be turned On/Off to prevent draining)
Yes, I can do so, I have a spare Sim for playing around and do some testings with bluetooth headphone and phone calling, 4g 5g use
As soon as a SIM is inserted, bluetooth became unreliable and the random game you talked about…
I guess no further testing required, since it is a killing factor for the use case of your girl friend?
thanks! so i will keep her on 4.6.0.15 until year 2525 and also i will buy some classic camera and Walkman for jack audio then with duck-tape i will mount it on xperia10V
If man is still alive.
It was mentioned again at the community meeting that AppSupport work is proceeding despite no new blobs from Sony. @rainemak , does this mean Jolla has given up on getting working blobs? Or does Jolla expect them, just not soon?
Could you elaborate at all on the port status?
Thanks very much.
Hi @juz ,
We’re still expecting to get newer blobs – no promises regarding schedule. Port status is still the same: camera, fingerprint and battery charge level indication are still broken (maybe I forgot something). That said, Camera 2 API is proceeding elsewhere helping eventually all devices (I believe) that have multi camera support and issues with multi camera.
Xperia 10 IV and 10 V are still in the free trial phase, so lacking the licence and the vendor blobs. However, AppSupport is available - read this post.
the post you mentioned is still “private”
Leads to nowhere. (20 characters)
The link works now, please check again.
Thanks for taking the time to reply @rainemak . It is great to hear this status update, and reassuring that Jolla is expecting working blobs at some stage.
Looking forward to support being full and the subscriptions being available.
Thanks again.
As well audio via headphone jack not working?
It does seem like only app support is bring up to life. Other usual issues like camera, fingerprint, headphone jack, screen brightness aren’t resolved yet.
This wasn’t system update but only adiditional bit activated so don’t excpect bugs beeing resolved by AAS.
Hello, I don’t see a download link for my Xperia 10 V xqdc72. So I have to wait again…
For my understanding I will buy a legacy licence and so I can use for 6 months all available paid functionality?
That is a good question, I couldn’t understand it as well
