Making phone calls is possible with 2G or 3G. 4G is still being worked on, and hopefully the internet connection in the mobile network will also be developed.
Has anyone figured out a way to get weather infos (via Meecast) working on the event view?
I tried to install the Chum gui by installing the sailfishos-chum-gui-0.6.8-1.9.1.jolla.aarch64.rpm, it installs but then it cannot get any updates. Meecast eventview for aarch64 is not working yet from Storeman.

Strange, the link seems to work for me.
Anyway, there’s also two videos of it on YouTube:
This one’s in Finnish (and a bit blurry):
Massive isn’t it! Charging too before I start discovering…
My old phone died so while I was waiting I did a detox. Used this which is tiny…

I used here wego for the first time today.
I’m amazed at how smoothly the navigation works with mobile data, especially because I was running a radio app at the same time.
And all of that with my slow 128kbit/s connection.
That wasn’t possible with my Xperia 10.
Set up went fine.
Updating to 5.0.0.21 went fine also.
Wifi works, browser works fine. I’m very happy that browser is that good that it is. Maybe default browser in the future.
No SIM testing yet.
So far so good.
Sorry, so I did and thank you. Just didn’t see this option at the first try, now it is working.
In Storeman it cannot be installed at the moment, but I won’t try it again, as it is working now. I will do so when it occurs the next time.
Hi all and thanks Jollyboys!
My Jolla C2 works quite well without Android support.
For me native Sailfish apps are mostly enough, but
sometimes Android apps has to be launched.
The phone is too big for daily use compared to
original Jolla, which has been working fine long
time as daily phone - original battery is OK though
second battery started swelling and needs to be
replaced if possible.

When I try to install apps from Aurora I get “invalid apk file” error. What could cause this error?
Sounds odd, have you updated to 5.0.0.21? We’ll revert back to this.
Happens sometimes for some unknown reason. Try installing the app again and Aurora Store should redownload the package automatically.
I haven`t installed MicroG yet. Could this has something to do with the issue?
Don’t know for sure, but my guess is no. Smarter people than me can give you the correct answer.
Just got mine, first boot went fine thanks to instructions.
It’s possible to live without fingerprint scanner if smartphone is unlocked all the time, while you manually lock the phone when needed (it can be quickly locked with double pressing lock button). However, it’s much harder to live without tap to wake from original Jolla phone.
By the way, C2 initially was very laggy on 5.0.0.21, standard apps did not open and rotation didn’t work. However, after I left it for some time it seems to completed processing something, so now all apps are opening, UI is rotating as it should and performance is more or less normal. Still, hope for better performance in future releases (as already discussed here)
The C2 screen has two main h/w characteristics, heavily rounded corners, and a notch for the front camera. I found both of these features annoying as effectively render that part of the screen a useless space.
Any attempt to overcome that feature will either break the sfos ui design, or introduce bugs in apps.
For example the ‘top bar’ of the home screen has become too fat in order to provide enough space under the notch to display the time or any other information that supposed to be at the top middle.
