Feedback on Jolla C2

But unfortunetly is noticeably slower than very old XA2. Slower than XA2 that it should be at least 3 times faster.

Can you provide a benchmark or so? My own testings with XA2 and C2 make me feel the C2 is much faster. Of course this is no magic but the normal cpu development over the years.

I try to watch a youtube video yesterday, 480p device was unable to play it smoothly.

“Smoothly” sounds for me like a missing or yet not ready driver for the graphic magic. But no idea what 480p have to do with “smooth”? I can’t test this point because google & google service are on my block list (well, I have SFOS phone and this is possible )

Sad to say but I will keep that device for a moment or two cause there is still hope inside of me but once images for 10 V will be good enought to daily drive c2 would be forgotten.

Of course the screen resolution is different from e.g. the XA2. This means an app can’t use “pixel” or so for width & heigth of a ui element. I also have to change something in my apps of this reason. This will happen soon™ …

Sure the Sony will the better phone for you when you use it as a daily driver for youtube.

Reference device or not. How could I “reference” on something just a little bit faster than a brick?

“Reference” here is announced as a reference phone for developing. Maybe this differ a little from your requirements of a “daily driver”. But calling this nice C2 a “brick” is not fair.
