I would say: Avoid Windows whenever it is possible.

Hello. I just got a C2 and the device does not register touch from the first boot. I managed to go through with a USB mouse connected but wifi doesn’t work.
As I saw on that thread, some user pointed to follow this guide to flash the device.
The problem is that I can’t enable developer mode like many users so I am stuck on step 2.
I can’t even install any app since I can remove mouse-connect to Mac but then there is no file manager to do anything (not that it would help anyway).
Is there any solution here?
What happens, when you try to enable dev-mode?
Are you sure, that you need chapter 2? Was it a brand new C2 from the first delivery-batch? If not, than a newer OS-Version with the new Bootloader should be installed already.
Endless waiting and no progress. I restarted the device since there is literally nothing else I can do and now it’s in the perpetual circle after typing the password.
Fastboot ofc doesn’t work as expected.
The device was old and unopened, running 5.0.0.5.
Ok. Than there is no chance on fixing that by yourself. If you are in germany you can ping @explit . Perhaps he can help. If not you have to send it back to Jolla for a reflash

I am trying to flash the device following this guide, but the device just wont stay in flash mode and open a few seconds later.
How is that even possible?
@Kanthal This will not work, it need to be flashed with Unisoc Windows Tools and Flasher. I can flash the device for you, but i can’t give you the Unisoc windows Tools because of the NDA.
What makes you think it will not work? The spd_dump tool uses the same flashing method as the Unisoc Windows tools, and it worked on my C2.

Thanks! Not sure what you mean with NDA and the flasher though, but all I am trying to do here is get my new device working somehow

Are you living in Berlin maybe?
Because i tried both methods and it worked only with official Windows Flash tools. But it might be possible that it works for you or someone else….

when flashing it just sticks at 4/18. ho can i fix this?

if you use Windows, you may have encountered the same issue as I had (see my post further above). The solution was then to use Linux instead. I actually made a usb key with Linux to boot …

I don’t use windows. Ended up sorting it. Using USB-A to USB-C instead of USB-C only.
