If you mean by “it” colours not being displayed properly, there might be several issues. This post is a bug report about the display colour mode not being selected by Sailfish OS — a separate thing from panel behaviour at low brightness.
We’re talking about exactly the same issue. You’re the one who just now brought up low brightness.
I think my blacks look really dark, but I have this issue: when the brightness is low, everything dark blends together, and it becomes really hard to distinguish details. I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this. I’m not sure if I should make a new post about it. This photo was taken with a CMF Phone camera.

It could be a different issue from what you mentioned, but I think we can all agree that the biggest issue is having a Mexico filter on top of everything compared to not having perfect sRGB as an example. I don’t think anyone expected this phone to have Pro iPhone level display calibration, but this is really problematic

I agree the display of blacks (low-brightness performance) is a grievance and the photos look bad. That’s why I investigated it and came to the conclusion that it’s a separate issue. Happy to be corrected if there’s evidence stating otherwise.
So, should we make a new post for that?
Your issue could be the panel switching from DC dimming to PWM at a threshold, so yet another issue.

Reading the log of the latest sailfishos-meeting (3.9.2026), I am not sure Jolla has fully understood how bad this issue is.
So here’s a picture of a “black” test in dark with minimum brightness
And here’s a same picture with black in three different screens, all with minimum brightness. JP2 with OLED in the middle, iPhone with OLED on the left and iPad with LCD on the right.
I don’t think this is people “experiencing these differently”, there is clearly something wrong either in SW or my phone’s screen HW.
I often use my phone in dark environment, so I was very excited that the new phone has OLED. My last SailfishOS OLED phone was Oneplus X and that looked amazing with Sailfish OS.

What you’re showing is a different problem and is unrelated to brightness levels - you can also see that green (or red) hue at max brightness. Bizarrely, not every device is affected by it, as you can see in the topic for that issue:

Yeah, I brought it up again at the community meeting just now. Hopefully this doesn’t turn into a problem that everyone has, or one that starts appearing over time. I hope Jolla looks into it.

Maybe we should start different proper bug reports to show the scale.
My device is exactly like the images shown above (no blacks, green tint even in medium brightness), it also has a slightly different color in the notch area in lower brightness, and also crushed blacks/smearing.

There’s no other way to experience this except if you have some visual impairment.

Yeah, I created this bug to separate it from this one Display is not colour-managed — vendor sRGB colour mode exists but Sailfish never selects it. They are related, but they are different things.

Photos are taken in darkness and appear brighter than reality.
First picture has screen brightness on maximum and second at lowest setting. Text and back indicator seem to follow brightness level as expected. But black that should have pixels off is greenish.

Yep, can confirm exactly the same here. Day 1 event device.
Same and also in pitch black the device with just a black image shines like neon light

I can’t really make out a clear colour on my Day1 device. It looks just greyish to me, as if it had some backlight. Maybe it is in reality a very slight green or yellow tint but I couldn’t tell. I’d hope that this is a software issue but honestly, while a bit annoying it is for me not such a great deal.
