Case solved. Issues with TDC network provider just after update 5.0.0.76

Case solved :blush:

There were some issues with TDC and data in my area.

I went to another area in the rainy weather and here I could see that I got 4G/5G again. Luckily, I was inside a car.

What is the chance that TDC will get issue with the data in my area, at the same time I did do the SFOS update. Sorry for wasting your time and mine. I was working with mails to the press and will later send mail to where it needed about googles new policy concerning app to android phones and here I will mention to support European OS like Sailfish.

OS VERSION: 5.0.0.76
HARDWARE: Sony III and V, possible all phones
UI LANGUAGE:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

Install the update 5.0.0.76

EXPECTED RESULT:

Phone to still be usable

ACTUAL RESULT:

Pure connection or none connection to mobile network

MODIFICATIONS:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

After updating to 5.0.0.76 only 2.5G available or none connection at all.
This means the phone in many cases cannot be used ;-(

This is a really bad bug report.

What about it?

What does this mean?

I just updated my 10 III - no issues.
There is also nothing in the 73->76 changelog that touches stuff that could cause such an issue.
If you did a larger update increment, that is very important information.

Same here with 10III. NO ISSUE SO FAR

Have you tried some reboot cycles?

2.5G is a very poor connection with reference to 4G/5G. Sending MMS is not possible.

Did the update from 5.0.0.74 (or was it 73) to 5.0.0.76.

Than maybe it seems is has something to do with my mobile network connection with TDC.

So what phone do you have an issue with? Who is your Telecom provider?

I have a C2 with 4G delivered by Telia in Norway. No issues so far…

I have 10III and 10V and TDC provider (one through Telmore). Could be the connection with TDC.

Fingers crossed that it works better tomorrow, and that this was just a glitch…

But this is one of the more difficult parts I guess. Getting the phone part to work with all providers in Europe.

No issues with TDC in my area.

Yes both the utilities restart network and restart the phone.
