REPRODUCIBILITY: 0% (not specified)
OSVERSION: 5.0.0.21
HARDWARE: Reeder S19 Max Pro S - s19mps - s19mps - 1.0.0.15 - aarch64
UI LANGUAGE: English (UK) (user: en_GB, os: en_GB.utf8)
REGRESSION: no

DESCRIPTION:

After rebooting (I think the first time after updating to 5.0.0.21) the device comes up in Landscape orientation and does not rotate.

PRECONDITIONS:

Also reported here: Jolla C2 first time use instructions - #77 by wosrediinanatour

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. settings->display
  2. Orientation auto
  3. Rotate home screen → on
  4. device behaves as expected
  5. reboot
  6. Sec. code entry is portrait
  7. Lipstick starts in Landscape

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Lipstick orientation follows device orientation.

ACTUAL RESULTS:

Orientstion can be switched in Settings to L or P, but Auto always puts it to L, no rotation.
Apps also seem to get no informartion about orientation.

Tapping the Top Menu Orientation button (while Settings is set to P) from on to off to on again makes device configure itself to L.

Weird: after a while, this issue fixes itself, and everything starts working as expected.

Yes, you have to wait a bit…

Lock/unlock once after reboot is enough for me (though it starts locked in portrait)

Just now it seemed to fix itself by starting CSD tool and doing the gyro test.
