[C2] Ambience 'Five' does not fit the screen

REPRODUCIBILITY: 100% (always)
OSVERSION: 5.0.0.21
HARDWARE: Reeder S19 Max Pro S - s19mps - s19mps - 1.0.0.15 - aarch64
UI LANGUAGE: English (UK) (user: en_GB, os: en_GB.utf8)
REGRESSION: no

DESCRIPTION:

I know this is trivial, but it’s also trivial to fix.

The new default Ambience ‘Five’ is pretty,

But on the C2’s screen the symbol is displayed beyond the edge of the screen, so not all of it can be seen.

PRECONDITIONS:

None.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Ambience ‘Five’ selected.
  2. Close all apps (optional).

EXPECTED RESULTS:

See the pretty symbol in full.

If the image had a little more of a black border, it would be visible completely.

ACTUAL RESULTS:

MODIFICATIONS:

  • Patchmanager: yes
  • OpenRepos: yes
  • Chum: yes
  • Other: none specified

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

As another nitpick, the color hue for highlight appears a bit pinkish when applied to text. A little more orange in the hue would fit the image better.

I think this is intentioned design, and I must say I like the larger variant better

Well, de gustibus non est disputandum.

I agree that the effect when seen through the blurred background of an app in the foreground is nice(r) with the original.

One of the small things I find really nice by the way.

Please upload picture of ambiance “Fve Two”. I think I have to update Norwegian translation.
“Five” is translated to “Fem”, but what about “Five Two”?

No, you don’t. It should be ‘Five Two’.

I assume the context is SFOS 5, community phone 2.

The ambience name is translated (to Fem två) in Swedish :frowning:

Yes, by me actually. Do you have a better suggestion? Well, I could of course have written “två” with a capital letter.

Oor… I could have just skipped translation, if that is what you are aiming for.
Anyway, i’m not the reviewer.

That’s what i thought you were suggesting here:

(and the translated version kind of sticks out at me… but on second thoughts, it would perhaps stick out even more together with all others being translated)

That one was referring to “five to”. …before edit.

Could you please elaborate? Me having problem following you.

“Fem två” looks odd or somewhat out of place - it screams obvious translation. But perhaps it will look even more out of place as “Five Two” alongside e.g. Vatten, Eld, Jord and Luft (which are all perfectly good).

Of course it’s a translation, like any other SFOS translation. Maybe we can make it more “genuine” by calling it “Fem/Två”, given that my assumption above holds.

Yes, but the best ones aren’t obvious. That’s why i leave the translations to more competent people, like yourself.

So what do you think? “Fem två” or “Fem/Två”?
I actually have great confidence in you as one of the few younger Swedes who still knows Swedish language as it should be written/spooked.

…does have a certain charm to it, i must say. Definitely ticks the box of not an obvious translation, but please do get a second opinion.

:ghost: Happy belated Halloween.

Well, I don’t always use the spelling program.

So let’s try “Fem/Två” @ljo . I think it looks good. :slightly_smiling_face:

How can I translate “Five Two” to Norwegian when there is no picture of the ambiance. “Fem To” in Norwegian means nothing to me. Fire ( Ild), Water (Vann), Air (Luft) has meaning and are god / short translations.
PS. I don’t have an Jolla C2.

There is a pic actually…
