DESCRIPTION:

Cookies not working on whitelisted sites when cookies are disabled in browser settings

PRECONDITIONS:

Update from 4.3 to 4.4.0.58

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Disable cookies in browser settings
  2. Whitelist site in cookie exceptions
  3. Visit site and do something that requires cookies

EXPECTED RESULT:

Cookies are working

ACTUAL RESULT:

Cookies are not working on

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Thank you for your bug report. I need some more clarification. When do you mean Disable cookies, does it mean you set the option Block Cookies under Permissions?

I’m unable to reproduce your bug. There is surely a missing step. Since you use Sailfish, have you always blocked cookies?

EDIT: Clearing all browser data has made some mess. Good to know. I’m able to reproduce now.

Retested: disabled cookies globally and tried loading forum.sailfishos.org → stuck in the dot animation. Enabled cookies for the site and reloaded → loads ok.

Not sure about the exact cookie requirements there, but I’m guessing this might have been fixed these days.
