Would you have a chance to share this file with us or provide us an instruction how to create it ourselves?
Yes, of course. Log in with devel-su and use following:
echo âkernel.yama.ptrace_scope = 0â > /etc/sysctl.d/91-opmobiili.conf
10iii here. Added the sysctl conf, rebooted, and it works.
At least until someone from OP picks up on this ![]()
Thank you!
Forgot: in case OP gets their act together and the app starts working without the setting, simply remove the the sysctl file and the phone is reverted back to original state.
I am puzzled how could something like this have passed QC, as this setting is no way sailfish -specific, but generic linux kernel configuration. Only if most android distros have that 0 as default, I can imagine that the app passes QC, or alternatively there is no QC whatsoever for the OP mobiili.
Seems that OP has tighten Android âroutinesâ. And version 70 is out of date , they got 72 in Play. Seems that they have some rules how many active versions on market.
This fix works on Xperia 10 as expected. Thought, because the line isnât inside pre-formated text -tags, the quotation marks arenât the basic ones and they are added as is to the created file:
âkernel.yama.ptrace_scope = 0â
So if you are trying to apply this and the fix isnât working for you, make sure to edit the file and remove the quotation marks:
kernel.yama.ptrace_scope = 0
From now on, CrĂ©dit Mutuel (Fr) will stop in few weeks double authentication by sms, and only the bankâs own application will allow this double authentication, which is necessary for all operations, including simply consulting oneâs account on a computer! The last time I tried to install the CrĂ©dit Mutuel application, it crashed immediately on opening. Have any of you tried to install this application? What was your experience? Without a micro G? With microG?
Thanks a lot!

In my great wisdom, I deleted the app data in attempt to get the app to work before checking the forum for solution. Changing the ptrace_scope allows the app to start to the welcome screen instead of closing at launch, but the app will still close after some seconds, before you can even hope to login for the first time ![]()
For the ptrace_scope a value of â2â might also work, while keeping things somewhat restrictive.

At least for the paypal app both â0â and â2â work around a crash on startup.
Just wanted to inform of the addition of
2.33.2 - A1 - SFOS 5.0.0.62 (installed APKPure / S-mobiili from it) - Jolla C2
Works as expected! ![]()
I write some updates in the list above on BNPParibas and Crédit Mutuel.

If there are still banks that can be accessed by web-only too, Iâve added W1-W4 category.
My thinking is that web-only means also without an app, even for authenticating. So maybe SMS or hardware token or TOTP (are there any banks that use the standardâŠ).
Of course, if our browser may be too old for some JS site, and you can still access through an Android or a desktop browser, that counts as Web-only too.
Not sure how to get the rankings right in this caseâŠ
For example, my ING Romania bank does work without app, with SMS 2FA, the only missing feature being some virtual card number revealing, which is only available in the Android app (and NFC payments, but I donât mind that).
However, from time to time, their site breaks in SailfishOS, and then a year later the Sailfish browser is updated⊠So it would be in a superposition between W2 and W4
?
Anyway, suggestions welcome / changes to the W1-W4 defs.
ASN bank app works well on my Xa2plus.
Deutsche Bank (Germany) works on Jolla C2
On devices with unlocked bootloader - works but asks for PhotoTAN on every login.
ActivoBank (Portugal) works on Jolla C2 when installed from Huawei AppGallery
(Otherwise it doesnt work with a message about missing Google Services. microG doesnât help)
I had a funny incident with my direct bank Cosmos Direkt in Germany: They started to ask for 2FA via their mobile Android App to log in to the website. I called them and complained, then they said I could opt out of 2FA. Couple of month later they sent me a letter where they announced a brilliant new approach to 2FA for me: I should enter an extra activation code at each log-in that doesnât change ever - as if I wouldnât store this code in the same password manager as my regular password manager
Wait until you read the Terms and Conditions for Mobile Banking Apps in wich it says to not use/install the TAN and Banking App on the same Device. ![]()
