In that case I guess my microG may not be doing properly all the things it should be doing. And at the same time, some usual suspects like Whatsapp is working just right for me.
(Possibly after Sailfish OS 5.0.0.72, not sure, but for some month or two now), Iāve had issues with MobilePay: it has now twice stopped working (red text after I enter my PIN-code: complains about it cannot start, suggests to reinstall it - hints about possible modified (jailbraked?) device). Reinstalling it fixes it but this is a bit annoying (fe. as I use it pay tickets from HSL app on the go) as it happens so randomly and setting it up is not something to be done on the road. Re-install also complained that the browsers were out-of-date and couldnāt be used (installing the free Duckduckgo browser worked).
Mentioning the version of the MobilePay, what phone you are using, and if you have microG or Gapps installed, might help narrow this down if not everyone is experiencing this issue.
Sorry, Xperia 10 II, microG and currently MobilePay 10.10.0
In Germany:
Has anyone managed to get the new Consorsbank App running? With the mentioned AAS Installer Patcher it will pass the installation check but fails later on for me.
Their old SecurePlus app for TAN generation was running without problems.
Probably time to find a new brokerā¦
I have to correct myself: with the AAS Installer Patcher the Consorsbank App does work. It ājustā stopped due to the well known Android connectivity problems.
Has anyone tried the UK Barclays App on Sailfish (App Support) yet?
If not I could give it a go. However I already have the app on my Android, so Iām wondering what would happen (from a security point of view) if I tried to install it and log in.
I got the request via PM to check some bank apps in Germany whether they at least start (the requestor is not on Sailfish OS yet.)
All installed via Aurora and tested whether app starts and runs until login screen:
- Postbank v 3.31.0.8251: app starts
- ING Deutschland v9.8.1: app starts
- easybank (ex. Barclays): not found in store, only for other countries
- Barclays v8.20.1: app starts
- HVB Mobile Banking v5.32.0: app starts
- SecureGo plus (Renault Bank) v4.2.9: app starts
(microG installed)
I use ING and it works without problems, even without microG.
where is MobilePay for to install
Aurora Store. Which itself is installable from Fdroid.
Just for the record, Danske Bank works. Danske ID works if you do this: Unable to set lock pin for Android apps requiring it - #61 by nekron
Iām also running MicroG, donāt know if itās needed tho.
I successfully use the following Norwegian Android banking apps on my Jolla C2:
Nordea ID
Nordea
Sbanken
Vipps
I have not had any issues.
Currently running latest Sailfish OS (5.0.0.76), microG Companion version 0.3.12.40226, and microG Services 0.3.12.250932.
Not sure if fdriod is needed anymore since i see aurora store in jolla store.
I was thinking that it probably is. Mainly I added that tidbit because of the 20 characters requirement. ![]()

there was a post on this forum where Aurora wasnāt working properly, and the user resolved it by updating it through Fdroid. If the version in the Jolla store is outdated, and Google have implemented some changes that stop Aurora accessing it then an update will be required, once they have made a workaround
I would like to add to this list, due to the new rules, banking apps canāt work in Vietnam.
Looks like the corporate lobby are gaining ground, not long for the rest of us I guess ![]()
Hello,
Iām from France, do you know if BoursoBank work ? Thanks !
