Hi, I am a heavy listener to DI.FM and have been searching for a good way to listen to it on my C2 device. Found app AudioAddict Radio which seems to handle DI.FM among other similar services.
Everything works like a charm, install, log in and pick my service (which I am premium customer to). But when I start a channel the audio is semi broken. It has distortions and is a bit laggy.
The app itself has not been updated since 2020-10-26.
So what is my purpose by creating this topic? I am curious to where to start looking into the audio issue. Since the app handles everything and starts streaming, it should be an issue with perhaps Pulseaudio? Can someone navigate me, or help me search for the issue?
I would really love to be able to do it on my own, but my knowledge is limited in this.
It is a native app. @fingus How do you mean that I should use another streaming app? I kinda need to find a solution to my service already paid for. Did I misunderstand anything?
Tidal player used to stutter on first song too.
Now not, changes were: python-tidal update and switching to amber-mpris
Maybe amber would help. Nemo.. Mpris is obsoleted anyway
In channelpage.qml
Org.nemomobile.mpris …
Else seems like a simple tiny app, should be easy to update and compile and update against a fresher target
@fingus I tried, also through console. Doesn’t work.
@pawel.spoon Would be awesome! Not really sure what the maintenance part means, but since I am commited to the streaming service and Sailfish. Why not?
I understand that you got that error in Storeman when trying to install deadbeef-silica from my repository, right? In other words, you have added my repository, but you cannot install it from Storeman. Why don’t you try it from Terminal?
If you try from Terminal, we can see what error occurs, because “unable to install” doesn’t say anything. Do you have Terminal enabled?
If you do, open Terminal and run the following: devel-su pkcon refresh devel-su pkcon install deadbeef-silica
