It’s expected that some websites are going to lock/be slow. WPE WebKit doesn’t implement all of Apple optimization, a lot of loose ends. I have to slowly bring them up.

I gave it a quick try. Genarally works on my J2. Issues I found was some odd font scaling in the top headline images on www.orf.at and the restaurant map on tripadisor acting slow and weird.
good progress, the download history thing is now working.
my adblock not working with at least with youtube seems be to resolved when I cleared the browser data.
But the same old mentioned website issues are still relevant.

I am pretty that most broken website are due to the user agent.
Fell free to make a simple list of URL so I can fine tune the UA for those websites.
The weirdness of TripAdvisor is due to pinch to zoom changing the page zoom and not zooming on the map. It’s a known issue I need to work on.
For the Jolla store question, the answer is no. I have done plenty of things that are not allowed on the store. So publishing is not realistic.

I’m really loving this app. The interface is that perfect combination of familiar with a tiny bit of polish, and with every update it only gets smoother and more reliable.
One thing that does bug me though is that the navigation bar often covers elements from the website I’m visiting. There is no way to hide it (eg. in the stock browser, it minimises when scrolling down). Can this be rectified?
I noticed that this package installs a few systemd services:
atlantic-browser-memory.service atlantic-memory-reclaim.timer atlantic-cpu-governor.service
What are they doing? Is this really necessary?
All three services are for bugs in the 10 ll
The cpu governor sometimes get stuck to powersave, the script force to conservative. ( cpu stuck to a low frequency, it enabled scaling)
For the ram one, a bug in the kernel of the 10 ii doesn’t fully flush the ram. the script force a proper flush every 2 minutes. The other one flush after browser shutdown.
You can disable it if you don’t like it or not on a 10Ii
Maybe packaging them separately as a bugfix pack for 10II would make sense, the cpu one seems totally unrelated to the browser, and it’s really hard to say if they won’t have any side effects on devices that don’t suffer from these bugs
there is two option either have a separate companion pkgs that gets recommended if you have the device, or it could still be part of the pkgs, just add a settings toggle to enable it
That would certainly explain why the longer the 10 II is running, the fewer applications you can run simultaneously and the worse it starts lagging. Having an easily installable workaround would be very nice to have for all 10 II users, regardless of whether they want to use Atlantic Browser.
You mean these services run even if not on a 10 II? Do they just silently fail or execute code that is irrelevant at best?

Just tried out Atlantic Browser and am really impressed, thanks a lot! I really like how it takes over the design of the native browser and even keeps booksmarks synchronisized. However, starting browser in private mode does not seem to work, although i ticked the box in settings.
