Android Bluetooth support

I’m not sure where this is, because there are a number of posts dotted throughout the years going back quite some way. I didn’t want to start yet another feature request for the same thing.

I’m also noting a number of work arounds but are either unstable or get wiped on the next update.

I have a number of devices which require android apps and bluetooth. These include my Sennheiser headphones (which I use with the phone) and also my wall panel heaters, Phillips Hue equipment, among a number of things. Enabling bluetooth on the phone is no use because the app can’t see it.

This is quite the constant, low level impact on my “smart home” life for many others as well as me, by the look of it, so if someone has wisdom to impart on this, I’d be most grateful.

If you have at least 5.1 you can install AppSupport Bloetooth (beta) from Jolla store. It’s not in the image yet because it’s still in testing. OTOH most have positive experiance. Search around for more info.

Unfortunately the Sennheiser software still can’t see it. Coupled with the notes about it still being worked on, I’m going to sit back and wait for a bit while it’s worked on. Thanks for the heads up.
