Ok - this helped.

Now I get no “Auth failed” anymore - but this:

Package not found: aliendalvik

This tool could not find any available package.

did you try devel-su pkcon refresh after setting the correct password?

I just did. Same result.

I had a similar issue — I simply reflashed the device from scratch and logged into the account with the purchased license.
